Extremely sad and frustrated with how me and my husband were treated on Saturday night 9/14/24.
I placed an order through Uber eats to pick up, something we do often since a lot of restaurants don’t have their own store front that you can order offline for. Remember I said I do this a lot, this will matter later.
We get to pick up the order and my husband goes inside, he comes back out frustrated with no food saying how the person is asking for an order number. Never have I ever been asked for an order number as a CUSTOMER picking up my order through Uber eats. As a driver, yes sure but ordering and picking up for myself, never.
Why did I have to prove to the person that the food I was there to pick up was mine. Even after showing my order on my phone, the email and the PDF receipt I got from Uber eats. Nowhere on any of those things was an order number. Not sure if this is Uber eats fault or the restaurants. But no one likes to be made out to feel like they’re trying to steal food, especially from a local restaurant.
I’m a very kind person, but I’m not stupid. I know this person was thinking we were trying to steal the order. I’m not sure who would do that for a $34 order but it was kind of absurd. At the end of the day, I get it and the counter worker did end up finally giving me my food I paid for after I had to plead with him that I ordered the food and just wanted to feed my kid and family and go home.
It’s unfortunate because the food was really good, it was our first time here and I could see ourselves going back, but we probably won’t. Not sure why you’d treat your customers that way but you should think twice about it.

Stopped at Lukes of Lake Bluff with a group of 6. Service was outstanding and everyone agreed the food was fantastic. Pizza, Salads, Gyros and Chicken Teriyaki. Very large menu and they had no problem customizing orders. They were super busy and the food came out fast and fresh. I highly recommend this place!

Online order, they called because they were out of one item, fine it happens. Also paid for a pizza with sausage and peperroni..pizza came as plain cheese. Tried to contact them, but they are ignoring me. Updating negative post, they did call and the problem was with ubereats site (I thought it was Lukes directly)

My 3rd time at Luke's! What a great hole in the wall find!! So far I've had the low carb gyro with Cheese, the beef Sausage Combo with Cheese, strawberry and chocolate shakes, and a large Fry.
Everything is fabulous! The people at the counter are so nice! One of the cooks came and made my order right to fix a mistake. Great atmosphere, great food, and great sunlight inside with seating outside!
I give this restaurant 10 out 10 stars! I recommend to anyone who wants a slice of Chicago! I'm from Kansas City and this blew me away! ☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆

Been here couple times for carry out and delivery. The food is good and the pizza never disappoints I do recommend that you do pick up or dine in especially during lunchtime I’ve waited over and 1 1/2 hrs to get my delivery when i did call (twice) the staff was kinda rude with responding “ i dont know, its out i cant tell you why hes taking so long” “ its out” and simply “ i dont know” and no apologies for getting my order late

My boss and I tried this place for the first time and after the treatment we received, we will never return. I’m upset with myself that we even patronized this establishment after how rudely the cashier addressed us. I hate to state that it was racial but it appeared to be based on the treatment others received. We ordered the Italian beef egg rolls which were extremely greasy that it bled through the bag and was all over the containers. The grease smelled old and was very disgusting. I really wanted to like this place since it is in close proximity of where I work but we will never spend our money at this establishment again and I will make sure to tell those I know to avoid it as well. I wish I had taken pictures because it was the worst experience I’ve had in years. Thank you for showing us how you really feel about us hard working folks who were expecting good service, respect, and good food yet we received neither.
