We stopped by for an early dinner and the place was pretty empty. Our server had one other table that just closed out their check. We were seated immediately by the host and then we waited for 15min as the server passed by our table multiple times. When we finally decided to leave the server immediately rushed up to our table and acted surprised we were leaving.

This was our first time here and I would keep it in mind for atmosphere and drinks but the food leaves a bit to be desired. I would describe it as really great menu planning and fresh ingredients, but I feel like they need a different Chef because most of our plates seemed to be missing an ingredient or two to pull it together. Tuna tartare and brussel sprouts were great, and all of our drinks are great, but the rest was pretty underwhelming (salmon, saffron shrimp, apple crisp).

Nice little stop food not bad, drinks are OK. Clientele definitely not but prefer prefer being around. Growing up as a kid in the next neighboring town seen a lot of changes between .knolkwood, lake bluff, & Lake Forest. And I never did like the lake Bluff mentality so it’s not a place I frequent but it is a nice facility to visit.

Great experience! Food was incredible- the homegrown tomatoes used in the recipes were delicious. Bloody Mary’s, burger and salad special all great. Staff was great, April was especially accommodating and went above and beyond.

Just ok. Pretzel was lacking salt. Kale salad had very little goat cheese. Gnocchi with Italian sausage was bland, soggy, and cold around the outside of the plate. Brisket sandwich was about the same as any beef sandwich with bbq sauce on it. Grilled cheese was the best thing on the table.

Racist! If you’re not white, don’t go here. I was waiting for the train, decided to go get a drink-1 drink, that’s all I had time for. Normally I wouldn’t answer a FaceTime call without my headphones, but there was already a lot of noise going on. The guy beside me was on his phone the entire time I was in there. Loud, he wasn’t even a tad bit quiet. I answer a FaceTime, I put the lowest volume and I put my finger on my speaker to quiet the volume-7 mins 3seconds the bartender says someone complained to her-mind you I can hear everything that’s going on in this bar/restaurant. If this wasn’t about race, tell me what my conversation was about, any single person that was in there, I know they couldn’t hear it. Unbelievable!

This was a random choice we made driving from Waukegan back to the city and we are so glad we picked it. I had a burger, my sister-in-law had the gnocchi. She said it was in the top gnocchi she ever had. The server said ricotta cheese was the secret ingredient! My mother-in-law had the buffalo chicken sandwich and it was big. She changed her side of fries to the mac and cheese. The mac and cheese was in a mini skillet and absolutely delicious. We passed it around the table it was so good!

I dined here just by the reviews alone and I am so happy that I did. The fish and chips was excellent and along with the outstanding service I could not recommend this establishment more. I usually do not eat at a restaurant twice when I am traveling as I take the opportunity to eat at differing places but I may have to break my rule this time!
