The food!!!
The staff!!!
I've tried most everything and loved it.
Bait and Switch Burger Night-They advertise $5 Burger Night and you are thinking it's the Burgers in their menu, but then you get there. They are 1/3 lb version (think McDonald's) thin and you have to pay for every ingredient. You have to buy two just to get the same amount of food that is one on their menu. It's also dine in ONLY for the burger night deal and you don't know that if you pull in to order. To be fair, it is better then fast food, but it's false advertising.
Great food, great staff!!!

The Fogcutter is a beloved hole-in-the-wall dive in Gurnee, known for its great food and charming atmosphere. A popular spot for both locals and visitors, it offers a pleasant change from chain restaurants, with a mix of macro lagers, standard liquors, and a few unique tap choices. Though it may look abandoned from the outside, the lively atmosphere inside and the kid-friendly staff create a welcoming environment for families.
The Fogcutter is famous for its surprisingly good bar food, including the excellent $5 D&D burger, which has been praised as the best burger many have had in years. The meals are delicious and affordable, with generous portions. Recent reviews highlight the comfort food options like beer cheese mac & cheese with bacon and loaded tater tots piled high with bacon, which are perfect for relaxing and hanging out. The pizza lunch on Tuesdays, with crispy crust and tasty toppings, is often half-price and highly recommended. The portions are very large, and the food is consistently delicious. The staff remains friendly, efficient, and well-informed, often going out of their way to provide excellent service. The owner and staff are welcoming, and the atmosphere is lively, making it a great place for lunch or dinner. With its community vibe, The Fogcutter is a fun destination for those looking to enjoy good food, cold drinks, and sports on TV.
