Not a lot of attention to detail. You know how some people slap peanut butter and jelly on bread with just a single smear motion so when you eat the sandwich, one bite is a peanut butter sandwich, the next bite is just jelly. That is the best way to describe my meal. The taste is there but the attention to detail is not. I got a roost beef. Flavor is in the sauce which was under the clump of beef in the inside corner of the sandwich. I evenly distributed the toppings, but the sauce was only where the initial clump was. Not a biggie, but if it was done with care, it would have been great. Also trimming the round steak would have led to less gristle encounters. If you get this sandwich, go for the hot peppers. Sweet peppers were kind of lost in the korean bulgolgi-like sauce.

been going here since i was 6 years old. my favorite sandwich is the Roost Beef with cheese fries. doesnt matter if i live in chicago or in the surburbs i will always make an effort to come here. friendly welcoming owners & staff. i will always reccommend! <333

I remember when this place opened and it was a life saver at times, get 2 hot dogs and fries for a couple bucks, the guy who opened if went to school with my older siblings and they told me he was real passionate about food and it was his dream to open a please like he did… when I met him, he was deep frying pickles and I said “ I didn’t know you sold those” he said “ohh no, we don’t actually” and I said “ I see, your making your lunch lol…. and his response surprised me. He said “someone called and wanted to place an order for fired pickles and I told them we don’t serve them here, but i do have everything to try and make them if they are okay that they may not be perfect” I told him that l have never tired them and every place I’ve gone to that has them, well they are always out, or lazy and didn’t want to me make them… well not this guy, after he maid the first order, he then made a small order for me and gave it to me for free and he asked “what do you think? Would you come back for more?” I threw the little pocket of lava in my mouth and chewed past the steam, I was dumb founded on how delicious deep fried pickles are and how they could complement so many different dishes, i remember him thinking over the thickness of the cut. Too thick is to much but to thin it was just mush… well I can back that following week and he had it right and I maxed a whole order. It’s been months since I have been back there, I live to far away now to make a stop and out of no where. I was thinking of good places to eat that are humbly priced and this place always comes to mind. It’s a cool looking Resturant and the staff are kind and will help to pick what’s really good if you just give them so info about your tastes. Over all great place and I can’t wait to stop back in.
