We love the Roost 59! The other day I accidentally ordered the "mack attack". After a long day I didn't read I just pointed.. I didn't know Mac and cheese was on it. I just thought grilled chicken and the works. It was DELICIOUS! Roost 59 never disappoints! ??

Gave all four stars because the food was above average for the types of food offered. Pleased to see a lot of choices to choose from. Service was good. Received food quickly. Found the atmosphere to be a little too warm, but I realize it’s hard to please everyone.

I’ve never heard of this place before tonight but one of their employees driving a black van with restaurant's info on it was driving recklessly through Grayslake last night around 9pm. They tailgated me while I was going 5 over then swerved around me extremely illegally in a the middle of a one lane intersection. If I didn’t have a feeling they were going to pull something from the way they were swerving on my bumper, it would have caused an accident. Then I watched them tailgate the next guy in front of me. Not trying to be a Karen but what an absolute nut.

The people are friendly and the food is decent. They've updated their menu with TV screens, which looks nice. It's looking a little run down inside the one in Fox Lake in general. Maybe they will give it a makeover soon. I also want to clarify that, yes, they do take cards 6 out of 7 days a week. Sunday is cash only. Really doesn't make any sense to me. Rather, it is inconvenient if you forget and go in on Sunday without cash. I think a better solution is to have a minimum order dollar amount to pay by card. Just an opinion.

I only get to the roost about once a month, and the last 4 times they have screwed up my order, and by that i dont get juice with my italian beefs, chicago style dogs are all made differt, i get no sauce with my gyros. I love the food because up in wisconsin hillbilly lady they dont have a clue what goood food is, but come on enough is enough
