Horrible experience all around! Started by ordering one of their house cocktails with Woodford. Could tell it was not anything close to Woodford because it tasted like the cheapest nail polish remover whisky they had. When I asked about it I was told they were out of Woodford and instead of telling me they went ahead and used what they had instead. Yes, they still charged me full price for the drink. Had to ask the slack jawed mouth breather behind the bar 3 times for a menu. Finally seated after 30 minutes after observing they had open tables while waiting. Our server either hated her job, her life, or both. She also had the personality of a clam. Tried to order several different beers so I would at least know what I was getting this time and was told they were out of those until I settled for water. Ordered a salad with ranch, got french. The corn was inedible just covered in oil/grease. The baked potato was still raw. The steak was so burnt and char crusted it tasked like it was dropped in the embers of a campfire. The only decent thing was the rolls that came out of a bag. Over $100 for hot garbage. One of the worst meals of my life. I have zero idea how this place is in business and have no plans of ever returning.

This will be a mixed review. Food: Very good. I had a Steak Dion, which was on special. Husband the chicken parm. We both had salads, and onion rings for an appetizer. Onion rings were too salty, but tasty. My steak was cooked to perfection and very good with a baked potato. Total cost of my entree was $66. My husband had the chicken parm, which was a very generous portion, and he really enjoyed. His cost: $21.
Service: Not great. We arrived about 7 pm. We stood around for like five minutes without being acknowledged in anyway. We moved up to the bar, and the bartender? Host? Was obviously very drunk and had difficulty seating us and another couple who had arrived just before us. When we were seated, it took about 10 minutes of being ignored before we even got menus or water. But after that, service was fine, although it did take some time after we were finished to get the bill. At 8:45, the staff was busy closing up all around us, and not bringing us the bill.
Atmosphere: Cozy and romantic, dim lights, books and stuff around you makes it feel like home.

Overall thoughts: Limited menu. I wish they had mashed potatoes instead of just baked potato. Service could be better. Food was good. Wish they had a better dessert menu instead of just ice cream drinks. $66 for the daily special is kind of expensive.

This might be the best restaurant in the Lasalle Peru area. The food is always fantastic and the service is spot on. Every time we are in the area, we have dinner here and we are never disappointed.

Such a wonderful experience! This restaurant has a unique atmosphere, with bookshelves, memorabilia, photos, offering talking points for customers. We were seated immediately, arriving shortly after 530p on a Saturday. Our server was outstanding, grabbing drinks and our order within minutes. Yet we didnt feel rushed at all. Appetizers were steaming when they arrived, freshly cut fried onion rings and mushrooms, and breaded green beans, all served with dipping sauces. The prime rib we ordered melted in our mouths. Along with it came pasta or potato, side vegetable and a salad. We don't get out often, so the whole experience was such a treat!! Compliments to the whole team for a wonderful dinner❣️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Nice small tucked away restaurant in downtown Lasalle. You can’t get a bad plate of food here everything is delicious. I’ve ate here several times and when you can’t decide what to eat try something new you’ll love it. The staff is great so grab a drink before or after your amazing dinner. Old school with a modern beat!

It's just a little dark in there, otherwise, it would be a perfect score. Using my phone light worked fine.

Honestly some of the best food and drinks that I’ve found in the country (avid traveler here) let alone the IV. Must try the Heavenly martini, and if you are blessed enough to find the steak Diane or filet canapés on special, SEIZE THE MOMENT AND EAT ALL YOU CAN! Seriously. I’m a foodie. I prefer cooking over restaurants…but their cook whoops my butt in the kitchen. Period. And the service is always FANTASTIC! Sit at the bar and eat. The owners are the best!!

We were not very impressed. The food was very good. Expect to pay top dollar for your ribeye $49! The blackened mahi-mahi was nice and reasonably priced at $21. Our biggest issue was the service. We had to wait for the tables to get cleaned off and once seated, more of a wait for menu, then once served our food... the waitress never came back to see if everything was ok. Didn't even offer water with our meal. Food 8⭐ Service 3⭐ Atmosphere 6⭐ (just a bit too dark)

The owners were drunk, they were bartending. Our waitress was drunk. Our waitress was drinking Modelo the entire time we were there. We were out for my husband’s birthday. They were out of chicken, salmon, vegetables, and soup. We ordered Mahi Mahi and before the food came out the owner came over and stated “one of you have to order something else, we only have one order, I only order everything fresh.” No apologies from her, she was slurring her words and was very rude. Our drinks were late and at the end we wanted to split an ice cream drink. The waitress said “No ice cream, we’re out” No apologies, seemed like she did not want to use the blender, we were one of 2 tables left. Delicious food and drinks, terrible service at an almost $100 per person. I do not recommend due to drunk rude service.

Food and service amazing! The mushrooms were perfect! Ordered the special. It was filet with a boursin cheese sauce. Best steak ive had. I will be looking for a recipe for that sauce!
