My husband found this AMAZING place while looking for places to eat in the area. We are not local by any means. A little weary at first since mexican sea food places are hard to find the farther you drive from the city. But this place BLEW OUR MINDS. It was delicious!!!! We ordered the empanadas de camaron(shrimp) con queso(cheese), a camaron(shrimp) and pulpo(octupus) tostada and the small charola(platter) of camarones cucaracha. It was all very tasty and we enjoyed the fact that the camarones cucarachas were not super spicy and totally enjoyable. 100% reccommended and worth the drive any time. The servers were nice and kept circling back to make sure we were doing good. Overall a great experience!

Our first time here and the ceviche fish was fantastic. We had that instead of salsa. Huge portions, our waiter was super nice and helped us decide with all the options and average pricing

Fresh, fresh, fresh! The special oysters were fantastic- Fresh shucked oysters topped with chopped octopus, shrimp, onion, and cilantro and limes - so good! Spicy octopus was tender and delicious with the perfect balance of seasonings not mouth hot. The red snapper was tasty and easy to eat. Our plates were so full- mix of quality and quantity! Ceviche was muy bueno. And a giant 32oz margarita! A gem that should be packed nightly. Staff was attentive and helped us order. Acapulco natives so they know their seafood!

Definitely hidden amongst a humble neighborhood that does not help its curb appearance is this seafood haven. Wow! If you like seafood and not traditional Mexican food, this is the spot! Could they have some steak tacos on the menu to help drive more people there... absolutely. But what they do is incredible. Flavor is spot on. Service is very hospitable and friendly. You can tell they have some pride in what they are serving, and it's not just a sloppy mess. The free appetizer at the beginning is fantastic. Will definitely make a trip here again when I'm in the area!

Wow !!! What a hidden gem.
The seafood at this restraunt could compete with anything on the coast. Pricey for a family but it’s seafood so I’d expect it to cost a bit and the portions were huge.
Service and drinks were great as well.
Ceviche instead of salsa! Brilliant!
Went on a Friday night in lent and it was almost empty. If people only knew there would be a line out the door.
I truly hope word gets out. This restaurant deserves good things to happen.

Five stars! Give them a try and help support a restaurant that serves delicious, real food!

Excellent quality food and very large portions. Very fair prices. Very clean place. Very authentic style. The food will make you think you're at the beach in Mexico but you're here in the cornfields of Illinois.

The menu might seem overwhelming at first to some if you've never had this type of food. (It was for us.) But the waitress was very helpful in giving us recommendations and explaining what some of the dishes are. It's very real and authentic food that you wouldn't expect to find in Central Illinois. If you're unsure, you can't go wrong with the shrimp tacos. The main course and sides were a very large portion and everything was very fresh and all the produce was very fresh too. There was such a wide variety of seafood, I've never even heard of some of these things, so I googled them to see what they are and I was astounded you could get these dishes here in Illinois. It felt exotic even.

If you're indisicive or usually just get a simple burger and fries when you go out, like me, maybe read through the menu before you go so you can get a feel for the wide variety of options available to you since these are dishes you typically won't find anywhere around here! It was a new experience for me, and a great one.

You could go simple and just have a nice meal (with plenty to take home) or you could have a grand feast with several people and have crab legs and even a full octopus if you wanted! And after your meal you could sit and drink beers for a couple hours and enjoy the music and atmosphere and friendly people there.

Definitely try the Empanadas de Cameron con Queso! Delicious! I think even a picky kid would enjoy these! The best way I can describe it is like a stuffed, deep fried quesadilla with shrimp and cheese and it was very flavorful.

Please give them a try and let's help a small business that is providing a unique dining experience to the community. Stop giving your money to fast food places that cost almost as much as real sit down meals nowadays.

This food will fill you up and leave you satisfied. Again, just read the menu a bit before you go if you really want to take a deep into some of these exotic dishes. Otherwise just get fish or shrimp tacos and you'll be very happy with that too.

The people of Nayarit must feel offended by calling it a restaurant called the Koritas. The food, service and prices are disastrous for the place. Very bad service. I hope they improve.
