We go here every 2 weeks. Going tonight. Service is good and food is great! Prices are comparable to Ottawa fine dining. Love the atmosphere. We always request sitting in the front room. Only once my pretzel encrusted Trout didn't have enough sauce on it. Woody's in Ottawa and Uptown are our favorite places for fine dining!

Went to dinner at Uptown last week with a couple of friends, and everything was great as always! The restaurant was pretty busy for a Tuesday night, but we were seated right away without a reservation. Our server, Tracy H, was fantastic—attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of.
Uptown is definitely one of the best restaurants in the Illinois Valley. The food is always consistent, and the service is excellent no matter how busy they are. Whether you're visiting or new to the area, Uptown is a must-try. You won’t be disappointed!

Went for early dinner tonight I had raw oysters for an appetizer! They were so fresh and tasted delicious. My boyfriend had the tortellini’s, my son had kid’s quesadillas, and I had 1/2 seafood chowder soup 1/2 salad. Everything tasted delicious. Our waitress I didn’t catch her name but she was awesome! We will definitely be back!

I have always loved Uptown. The chef and staff are excellent dealing with food allergies. However we went there Saturday at 5:30, party of 3. No reservations. We were the only people in the waning area. Hostess was busy. Another came right over to help. I stepped back while hostess was on telephone and waited. We heard a loud man’s voice yelling “Walk-ins. Absolutely not. Bar or outside. Absolutely not. 7:30. No. Tell them 7:30. “ I was less that 6feet from him. There were no other patrons around. It was completely rude. I understand not having a table without reservations on a busy night, but to completely yell absolutely not over and over was not what I hoped Uptown’s standards were.
