The food was great, and our waitress was phenomenal. A relaxing atmosphere. We never waited for anything. From our appetizers to salads and main courses, our food arrived in perfectly spaced times. And our drinks were always full. Love the place.

We stay nearby a few times a year and have been to Uptown a few times and we keep coming back because it’s consistently excellent. Atmosphere is welcoming, the servers and bussers are also welcoming and always hustling. It’s obvious they care about giving great service. We had the seared tuna nachos (delicious!), steaks which were perfectly prepared medium rare, baked potatoes that were cooked perfectly as well. Wide variety of wine and several desserts to choose from. Pricier for this area but well with the prices for the value. We wish this place were closer to home in the suburbs of Chicago, we’d be there every weekend.

While the atmosphere lovely the food was lacking. The place has nice soft lighting and fresh roses hanging on the lights and fresh tossed at each table. It was lovely. So we sat and began with an appetizer. We had the shrooms. We were wowed at how good these were. They were like a crab Rangoon that was stuff in a button mushroom. Then I ask Ed if they had a signature drink, they don’t, so he tried the blackberry/Thyme drink. This would have been good but it was heavy in club soda and they crushed a blackberry at the bottom and all I got was seeds. The thyme was dried not fresh and left no flavor in the drink. We then had the buffolo chicken soup and bread. This too was good but nothing to write about. When the salad came out it was to have dressing on the side, this was their house dressing a honey vinaigrette, but it was more oil than dressing and I sent it back as I don’t like my salad drowned in oil or dressing. Our main dish came out which was the salemville blue cheese topped beef tenderloins andfaroe island salmon with basil cream. The beef was asked to be medium they came out RARE and almost raw. They weren’t cooked well and the sauce tasted lie can and only had 2 mushrooms in it. It was sent back to be remade and the second one came out cooked but the meat was these thin pieces of garage. Then the salmon came out. The sauce was good but the salmon was still frozen inside!!! Frozen. Sent back and not wanting anything else. Time for dessert. It closing time we got there at 7:30And it is now 9:30, so we took it to go. Well again a huge disappointment. Thevery berry moscato tiramisu that isgenoise soaked in Italian moscato wine, layered with raspberries, blueberries, and mascarpone mousse. served with chambord raspberry sauce and chantilly cream had no cream or whipped cream. Nothing like its picture. The other dessert was the bruleed new york style cheesecake with fresh strawberries which wasn’t even brûlées!!! This was again a waste of money and time. I am only giving it one star because the waitress was kind. I will be calling to complain about how this place is a major disappointment.

Great food, service, and ambiance. Their menus are notebooks with the electronic menu. When you tap on a selection, a picture of the dish comes up. The creme broulet eas the perfect dessert.

We had six of us in our party. Everyone ordered something different. Nothing but delicious for all of us. Very clean and well designed establishment. Definitely will revisit. The sooner the better.

I was in the area and was looking for a good meal. I asked the hotel staff if they recommended a place in particular and they told me about Uptown Grill so I checked it out and I am so happy I did! First of all they have such a nice ambiance inside and they are welcoming from the get go. I was seated in the patio area which I enjoyed with the weather and breeze. My server was kind and attentive throughout my whole dinner. What I had: Entree: Broiled Whitefish Parmesan with mashed potatoes-(oven roasted parmesan crusted whitefish fillet with lemon caper butter) SUCH A DELIGHT. It was so juicy throughout and the flavor was beautiful combined with the Parmesan crust. The mashed potatoes were well made- salted perfectly and creamy. I literally enjoyed every. single. bite. of this!!!!!! I still think of this meal to this day! Drinks: Malibu Bay Breeze- definitely a well made drink- I enjoyed it thoroughly and it accompanied well with my meal. 10/10 recommend this spot- it will not disappoint. I will be coming back to this part of Illinois just to eat here again!

The building is easy to find. The inside is very beautiful. Upscale for the area, dim lighting, smells clean, quiet for the time we came in (3pm)ect. Friendly and attentive staff. I ordered the red door sirloin and garlic mashed potato’s, my boyfriend ordered the ribeye and garlic mashed potato’s. Our steaks were perfectly seasoned, juicy and perfectly cooked!! The potato’s were amazing. We spent $82 before tip! We only had water and no sides. But the price was worth it! We left full! They have a full list of craft/domestic beer, wines and cocktails!

We enjoyed a Christmas Eve dinner. The food was excellent. I had a filet minion. My Fiancé had the white fish. The server was also very nice and attentive. I highly recommend this place. The ambiance is romantic you can hear each other talk.
