Overall, a good place to stay one night. Bed comfortable, and we slept well. Bathroom needs a bit of repair near the tub behind the door, but otherwise things seems in good repair. Breakfast was very good, eggs, sausage, pancakes, biscuits and gravy, cold cereal, pastries, anything you could want. Would stay again.

Our credit card information was stolen from someone at this hotel and an apple computer ordered on my card for $477. The reason I know it originated from this hotel was because a friend who was staying at the hotel at the same time also had their information stolen and a purchase made for $228. We did not use this credit card anywhere else on our trip so we know it originated from there. I’ve been on hold for 20 minutes trying to notify corporate. A complete headache. Staff unprofessional and the hallways unclean.

The room smelled like old cigarettes. There was no soap in the bathroom. There was a lightbulb burnt out in the bathroom. I usually go out of my way to find a Holiday Inn. Very disappointed. It was overpriced due to events going on either city, and the cities were booked.

The room was very clean, mattresses very comfortable. The eggs for breakfast were the best scrambled eggs I've ever had in a hotel. And the bacon was crispy and very good quality. I would stay here again.

I stayed at this hotel enroute to Florida for my winter travels. I left a shoulder canvas bag in lobby. When I called the hotel about my bag they assured me they would check with day staff. I found out from the manager Carol that my bag is safe in her boss office and since I am a gold member of IHG they would send my bag complimentary. I was so happy as I had some personal things in that bag that I needed and wanted. I didn’t receive the bag in a timely manner and started calling about every ten days. The answer always was her boss is taking care of it. It is now 2.5 months later and still no bag. Carol has given me her boss email address. No response to my email. I contacted corporate customer relations for help. They have not had any response. I am so sad and disappointed that this package has never been returned to me nor have I received an answer that sorry, the bag is lost. The only answer I have had is the bag was sent. There is no tracking number for me to know if such was true. An IHG member, Nancy M Minnesota

We stayed at the Leroy, Illinois HIE, Room 303 on July 10, checkout July 11, 2021. Our tub water was yellowish and we emptied the first time and retried with same result. Mr. Dave Ridden snapped a picture and said he would find something out. After over an hour, when he neither came back up or called, my husband, David Hanson, went looking for him. He found him in a maintenance or linen room with his head down and asleep on a pile of towels. He jumped up then and told my husband that he'd sent the pic to Carlan, no last name or phone # provided. Carlan said its ok and normail. We did not bathe, shower or even brush our teeth until my husband went to a local market and bought a gallon of water. He gave us a phone number for Corporate of 888-695-4678. We spent nearly an hour trying to talk to a real person and it never happened. Thus, this letter tko you.Our email is [email protected]. Home phone is 812-623-6977 and cell is 812-584-3257.

July 10, 2021 - I attempted to call this hotel a couple of times, but no one answered. I was directed to dial zero, which I did - no answer. We drove to the hotel to see if they they a vacancy. The desk clerk was standing outside smoking when we pulled in. My husband went in to the front desk and had to wait several minutes before this guy made an appearance. There were no carts for luggage which is a problem. This was not the hotels fault, it is inconsiderate people who don't return them in a timely manner. A few minutes after we settled in, I dialed the front desk 3-4 times to ask about a list of restaurants that deliver - never got an answer. We decided to go out to get dinner and a person was waiting at the front desk as we went out the door - no hotel clerk in sight. When we returned with dinner, he was outside smoking again. When we left this morning, he was probably off duty, but no one was at the front desk. We have stayed at Holiday Inn Express many, many times and never have we had such poor service. The room nice.

I have stayed at this location many times and have always been very satisfied and happy with this hotel. However, this last time I was disappointed, especially with the lack of customer service. For over an hour on Saturday morning, we tried to find someone at the front desk. When we went there in person, no one was present or when we called, we got a full voicemail box. We looked around to make sure someone had not just stepped away from the front desk, but we could not find anyone nearby. I had been told that the pool and fitness facilities were open. However, when I went to use them, a sign on the door indicated they were closed. On a positive note, the bed was comfortable and the hotel is in a good location, near Clinton Lake. There is also a great restaurant within walking distance.

We stayed two nights coming and going to our destination. We enjoyed the small town feeling and felt safer than we did formerly staying in Bloomington-Normal. The motel was clean and welcoming. The manager and desk person were helpful and friendly. I asked for an extra room that had not been booked. Because of a shortage of workers, they only cleaned booked rooms. The sweet lady at the desk said she would clean a room just for me. She did find a room that had been cleaned and I was happy to use it. In spite of Covid restrictions, there was a good variety of items offered for breakfast. The grandchildren enjoyed the pool. The last motel I stayed in had loud rock music piped into the hallways. This motel was quiet and restful. It will surely be our place to stop on any other trips in this direction.

Picked this hotel at random as I was getting tired of driving and decided to stop at the next HI Express I saw. Good access to I-74 and located next to a large Love's truck stop. When I went to my room after check-in, I found the door unlocked and it was obvious that it hadn't been cleaned. Went back down to the front desk and was given a different room that had been cleaned. Despite being next to I-74 and the truck stop it was very quiet inside the room. There didn't appear to be many dining options nearby. Since I didn't feel like exploring the area, I settled for the 24-hour Arby's at the truck stop. There was parking for medium size vehicles behind the hotel. I was driving a 24-foot box truck and that was about the largest that would comfortably fit there. Semi's can park on the access road between the hotel and truck stop. Other than the issue with the first room, it was a very comfortable stay and I would return if I was in the area again.
