Reuben with sweet potatoes fries - fresh, wonderful, stuffed as hell. Smithwicks on draught was cold and crisp. Wonderful service.

They won't let you wait inside for two minutes while waiting for you Uber when it's sub 32F outside.

This bar is extremely racist and not friendly to anyone under 40. The bouncer came up to me and said racial slurs and asked for my ID, he would not give it back and due to me being scared of the police since I’m a minority..

Had one of the worst meals of my life. Guess it's my fault for ordering curry at an Irish pub, but I thought it would be a pleasant surprise! Take it off the menu, please!

Not your usual Irish sport bar Pub, or was it? Had lunch their on a Thursday in October. Beautiful day, not to hot, not to cold and the Irish Pub was just enough sports bar with its many wall-mounted TV set to sporting events and sport talk shows to be inviting. Had some Irish charm with the seating arrangements and the decor. And the food, enough different to be not-your-typical-sports-bar / not-your-typical-Irish-Pub fare although if that is what you wanted, you would not be disappointed. I think we will need to dine there several more times in order to get a better sense of their Irish-ness.

I live right in downtown Lemont and I love going to Hughie’s. It’s my go-to spot for weekend lunch or night drinks. The bartenders are super nice and even when it’s PACKED on a Friday or Saturday night, you don’t wait long for drinks.
As for food, my favorite is the Reuben. My favorite appetizer/side is Guinness habanero soup. 10 stars across the board!

Service is abysmal. I waited 20 minutes at a dirty outside table where the previous customers had just left. Three waitresses flitted around cleaning other tables and never approached mine to clean it or ask for my order. It was NOT busy they just couldn't have cared less. I decided to leave and find a place that actually cares about their customers. Stay away unless you feel like being ignored.

Not a bad pub! Good food [Patty Melt was great]. The inside smelled like a bad chemical cleaner. They also have a decent selection of beer.

Overall, this place is very ok. We got fried pickles, Shepard's pie and the fish and chips. Pickles and Shepard's pie were extremely salty (and I love salt so for it to be salty to me it's pretty extreme). The fish and chips looked really good but the batter was very thick and not very crispy. The fries were also limp and not at all crispy. They also had no malt vinegar for the fish and chips..
Guinness was the best part of the meal.

We've been there 3 times. Not anymore. Service is lackluster, food is mediocre and honestly over priced for what you get. Our server had zero clue on anything. Not worth it at all.
