After 27 years, this restaurant has closed for good as of Aug. 10. It suffered during the pandemic shutdown but managed to survive a while when indoor dining was permitted. The second shut-down of indoor dining sealed its fate. This was a wonderful place to eat Polish/Eastern European food at reasonable prices. It's a big loss to many, many people.

Good food, nice old world atmosphere. Too bad they closed.

One of the friendliest places in all of Illinois. by far the best european food I have ever eaten. So happy I got to experience this true gem.

As of August 2, 2020 the restaurant has closed permanently. This was open for I believe 27 years. Great German and Eastern Europeon entries. Too bad it had to close'

Food was okay, not the best polish place in the Chicago area. That was no big deal given that the restaurant is located in a beautiful small town. However, none of the employees at the restaurant, NO ONE, was wearing a mask during this pandemic. I could live with the fact that the liquid hand soap in their bathroom was basically water, no bubbles at all, but not wearing a mask while serving food in a pandemic is just as bad, if not worse than not washing your hands after using the bathroom.

Great place but I'm sad to say they will be closing their doors for the last time this Sunday. I wish the family and staff well as they served the community well for many years. Thanks for the memories.

The service here is good and the food is wonderfully authentic. The interior aesthetic is a little quirky but fun. The portions are incredibly generous and leave nothing to be desired after your meal, except a nap!I recommend that anyone looking for a traditional European meal in the Lemont area!

The staff here is so amazing and friendly. They take the time to talk to you like you are part of their family. The food is just like my grandma use to make it. It is a great atmosphere when you walk in this place.

Great place with authentic rib sticking eastern European food. Gonna miss it when it's gone.

Tripe soup is outstanding! Had the Hungarian goulash and will definitely be back for the rest of the menu!

We’ve lived in Lemont for years and decided to try this place. Food is exceptional. We felt like we were eating dinner in a someone’s home. Lots of flavor, generous portions, piping hot, and great service. Thanks! This is a new favorite place!

Good service, great comfort food. If you are in the area, check it out! The entree portion is big! It also comes with a house made pastry for dessert (don't think the menu mentioned it!). We came in for lunch, and walked out with 'dinner' in hand .. lol

First and foremost, our waitress was not wearing a mask and standing just that close!! There were 2 servers, one younger one older, we had the younger one. I saw the older one put on a mask but not ours., we were very uncomfortable and almost left which we probably should have. 2nd...the food was not that great, I really was hoping for better., The keuglis was thin and lacked flavor also there was no bacon in it which is traditional, I didn't care for the sausage at all.....The chicken noodle soup was very good, but that was about all I enjoyed of it. But please, if the owner is reading this, tell your servers to please put a mask on! I refuse to patronize any restaurant if they are not taking necessary precautions.
