Yikes. What happened? We were customers of Pomigliano at both it's locations in Libertyville. The atmosphere was intimate and comfortable. The food was authentic and well prepared. We just went to its newest iteration in Lake Bluff. Compared to its past lives, this was sad and disappointing. The restaurant is now an afterthought in a corner of a sprawling sports bar. The food was mediocre. Decidedly understaffed. Our server was struggling to keep pace. He did his best, but it was impossible for him to keep up. Somebody needs to decide what this establishment wants to be. Right now, it's barely an Italian restaurant.

Good food. Nice pasta. I went on a Sunday and the restaurant was closed but anyway they served us the food from the menu.

I can’t understand how this place has a 4-star rating on Google. It’s hands down the worst Italian restaurant I’ve ever been to. Our server was rude, and the food was underwhelming—small portions with basic, bland flavors that I could’ve easily made better at home. The chicken in the chicken piccata was ridiculously thin, practically paper-thin. It was a huge letdown. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place—there are plenty of better options nearby!

We went there on our way back to home from Pleasant prairie outlet mall and found this place with a 5 mins detour . To our surprise this place has an amazing ambience and a great menu . We ordered house salad and Rigatoni Vodka Pasta . The dressing on the salad was so flavorful .
And of the best Pastas we had in the United states . Such a rich flavorful sauce . We enjoyed our dinner and look forward to come back . Not to forget their freshly baked complimentary breads . We liked those as well. Menu is rightly priced.
Vegetarian options: They can do a lot of customizations

This review is based on a private party. The party space was perfect with dinner seating, a few armchairs, and a fire place with enough buffer between us and the main bar/restaurant that we did not worry about disturbing other patrons. There were bags and other indoor games. The food was good and we had 3 options to choose from. The server was attentive and made sure that everyone had everything they needed. Overall, a good party venue.

Small portions. Over priced. I could have saved the money and made a better meal at home. Won’t be back.

A Saturday night at 6 pm, and we were at the only table occupied in the restaurant; we were extremely uncomfortable and treated poorly. The hostess did not want to seat us in the speakeasy, (lower level) while our waiter encouraged us to ask for the change of locations. A most bizarre dining experience, we felt very unwelcome.

Staff seemed nice but the food was way over priced for what you got and the quality. I know this is Chicago and everything has a 4 star price (see the flag) but 6 dollars for a side salad and 27 dollars for the special chicken meal was ridiculous. Believe almost everything was $22 at the least for the main meal. Also one of the dining areas had barn doors into a seating area holding over 50 people, sliding doors only work up to 10 people, this is why I knocked the atmosphere down.
