We have tried Cellar 26 before and I have to say this probably will be the last We did the prefix meal, the food and the most part was horrible and cold. The service was lacking in every respect a meal that should only take maybe two hours to 3 1/2 to spend $200 and to get cold food that's horrible.

We thought we would try the new location since their move from Libertyville. I think they forgot to bring grandmas recipes with them. I had the spaghetti and meatballs. The meatball was incredibly dry. Noodles were cut into pieces. The marinara sauce was bland. I've had better store bought sauce. My husband had the braciole with gnocchi. He felt the whole thing lacked flavor and the gnocchi was barely cooked. This makes us really sad. Knowing that for years they were one of the best. Can't say we will ever be back. Our waiter was great! Danny was attentive and responsive . Unfortunately he cant fix what happens in the kitchen.

A Saturday night at 6 pm, and we were at the only table occupied in the restaurant; we were extremely uncomfortable and treated poorly. The hostess did not want to seat us in the speakeasy, (lower level) while our waiter encouraged us to ask for the change of locations. A most bizarre dining experience, we felt very unwelcome.

Staff seemed nice but the food was way over priced for what you got and the quality. I know this is Chicago and everything has a 4 star price (see the flag) but 6 dollars for a side salad and 27 dollars for the special chicken meal was ridiculous. Believe almost everything was $22 at the least for the main meal. Also one of the dining areas had barn doors into a seating area holding over 50 people, sliding doors only work up to 10 people, this is why I knocked the atmosphere down.

so disappoisted in the new location. they've not only lost the ambiance they only had the food has also lost its appeal. ordered the chicken Marsala and it was like eating chicken with brown gravy. probably will not be back and we loved them since their oroginal Libertyville location. and the place was empty. the kitchen needs some help

Food is outstanding - authentic Italian. Great gluten free options. Patty and Dee make everyone feel like they are family, and take time to visit and check in with your table. The restaurant is spacious, tables are not over crowded. Prices are very reasonable and fair. We love the food and the people. Location is great too, lots of parking. We've had great experiences during lunch and dinner.

Food was good with good portions. Shrimp bisque had lots of shrimp in it. Service was challenged I think the staff was spread out with a trivia night going on as well. Now located at the Post Time in Rondout.
