Love Hanakawa for hibachi! The food, wait staff and chefs are all phenomenal.
If you're near Libertyville craving some sushi or hibachi, this is the spot to visit. Their sushi rolls are delicious! You must try the Dragon Ferrari and OMG rolls. They won't disappoint you. They're full of flavor. It's probably my 4th time coming to this spot and they never disappoint. If you're feeling hibachi, try the stake and shirmp, it's also delicious!

I've been here twice, and both times have been great! Good food and fun atmosphere. There are some vegetarian options and parking on site (just don't use the neighboring restaurant's lot for parking as they do tow). I love getting the teriyaki chicken. The grilled vegetables and fried rice is also always delicious. Everything is cooked in front of you-like any hibachi place-assuming you order something from that section. I love the miso soup that comes with the meal, as well. And it's cool that for birthdays they give out oranges with a candle. Definitely recommend reservations. It's a very popular place. There is also some seating in another section if you want the sushi bar.

Was visiting from AZ and had such a great experience at this restaurant. The food quality, and service was phenomenal. I told my server I was visiting from AZ and she brought the owner to my table who was so sweet friendly, he recommended the golden shrimp which was the most amazing shrimp I’ve ever had! The sushi was so fresh too. Will definitely be back next time I’m in town!

I never review any restaurants but we frequent Hanakawa with our 3 young kids 2-3 times per year and they blow it out of the water every single time. The food is good, the service is fast, and the staff is amazing! We will continue to come here both for the hibachi and the sushi. So yummy!
