I have gone multiple times to you to pick up pastries, bread, and delicious coffee at the recommendations of the employees
They are very attentive and I Have enjoyed all of my purchases

There is quite literally no better pastries in this whole country. I love it so much! I always want a chocolate croissant or fruit galette on a fresh morning. Stay going to this place!!!

Small place, everything is to go. But this is a premium pastry bakery. Pastries are amazing here. Nothing else compares in a 25 mile radius.

I’ve been coming here for several times now and tried many different pastries. This is probably now my favorite pastry shop in the Midwest! The morning bread and croissants are my absolute favorites. And whenever I came I was greeted with warm smiles behind the counter. Hope there’s a location in the downtown Chicago area. During the meantime I will happily support the Libertyville location whenever I’m visiting the burbs!

Food and drinks are really good.

It was impossible not to give 5 star to the Hewn Bakery. Finally! Pastry that does not taste like just sugar! Everything our family tried there was 10 out of 10. Fresh, soft and with perfect amount of sweetness.

Best bakery around!

Tldr: this is the best bakery, hands down.

There is not a single thing I've had from this bakery that hasn't been exceptional. The bread loaves, the pastries, the cafe drinks; everything is great.

Great selection of fresh baked bread

We've been driving down to Evanston to get Hewn for years and are thrilled that this location is closer. This is the best place to get bread and pastries in Lake County now. Their locally sourced grain is impressive and the flavor of their bread is sublime. I recommend popping in and trying a pastry and a coffee. I do wish they would bring their garlic knots back.

Since the opening of Hewn, I stop by almost once a week to get my fix of their Blonde Country loaf! Absolute perfection in terms of taste (sourdough) and texture (chewy on the inside and light crispiness on the outside). Staff is always incredibly friendly and happy to make suggestions because there are just too many darn amazing things to choose from! I’m so happy to have them in the neighborhood!

My husband and I stopped in last Saturday morning and we were very excited to try a variety of pastries. Unfortunately, everything we purchased was dry. The flavors were ok, but not the quality we were expecting.

This place is a must stop anytime I’m in libertyville! So good.
