I thought it was very risky putting us out on the patio. Luckily they had a fireplace and warmers that we kept on adjusting to feel comfortable! Our cocktail service seemed very slow considering we ordered a glass of wine and a bottle of wine ! Which the waiter had to go back and get the correct bottle! No mixed drinks. Should have been quicker. Thought I put in that it was my birthday and no mention even though I had a birthday sash on. Walked into a bar down the street and had birthday wishes from the manager and bar tender.

Great dinner with colleagues. The food and atmosphere was great, as usual! I highly recommend this restaurant.

My first time here and they were hosting their weekend Jazz Brunch. The food was excellent and the service was outstanding. Everyone was friendly, attentive, and accommodating. Will definitely return for dinner

Main Street Social has become, for me, my go to restaurant in Libertyville. The main dining room does have a lot of hard surfaces so when the room is completely full, noise levels can be a bit high. All our dishes were excellent. Loved the Veal Osso Bucco, a new addition, I believe, to the menu.

Our Main pasta courses were all excellent - Pappardelle, Lobster Capellini. The Bruschetta was average for the price - very small portion and nothing special about it - would be better if included cheese.

Wonderful experience! Food was outstanding! We truly enjoyed every dish! Highly recommend the Cacio e Pepe and Chicken Parmesan. Our server was very attentive and accommodating as well.

Great place! Be ready fir the noise level though. We started out with a window table inside and couldn't talk/hear. They were so accommodating and moved us to the patio outside. A perfect evening!!! Food was fabulous and service stellar!!

Slightly upscale but very comfortable place. Turkey club was the best ever!

An amazing gem in Libertyville for a refreshing dining experience. The food is made in house and is just amazing. Other than having their own livestock in the parking lot, everything is from scratch.
The menu covers a broad range of tastes. Main Street will not let you down.
I highly recommend.

Too much oil in every dish brougt to our table. My wife book this restaurant for my birthday. The waiter forgot it was my birthday. The food was overpriced, and when we took home the leftovers the oil ozzed out of the togo containers. Thanks for the fridge clean-up. Sad, disappointing experience. Don't waste your time here.

We made a last-minute a reservation for indoor standard seating for two at 7:30pm. We got there and the hostess tried talking us into taking a table outside (which we were NOT interested in), and then told us that there'd be a wait and the only available table was a high top in the bar area. Once we were seated about 20 min behind schedule our waiter was clearly overwhelmed and we waited for a long time between ordering apps and ordering mains. My question is, if there wasn't a standard two-person table available inside at 7:30, why leave it as an available option on Open Table? Had we known it was going to be a wait and we'd have to sit in the walkway at a high top table we'd likely have not chosen to make a reservation there that evening

Mussels were outstanding. Dished that I have ordered before came out different and not in a good way. They should up their consistency game. When they're good, they're great. Otherwise, meh. Great service

Our first visit to Main Street Social in celebration of my spouse's birthday. We enjoyed the cocktails and Tyler's service but the food wasn't on par with our expectations for fine dining. We started with the Arancini to share, but the filling lacked flavor. One of our mains was the mushroom ravioli. They were so thick and tough that we only ate a few bites before setting the dish aside. I wish we had a better first experience - maybe it was just a rough night for the kitchen.

The hostess and the server were both exceptionally friendly, helpful, and patient. The cocktails were absolutely beautiful and tasted every bit as delicious as they looked. (You know a cocktail is exemplary when you’re willing to buy more than one @ $18.) So many things on the menu tempted me, but I finally settled on the salmon and I was not disappointed. At first I didn’t think the mango sauce was a good match for the cheesy polenta cake. Each component was delicious; I just didn’t think they complemented each other at first. But by the last half of the meal, I changed my tune. It was an unusual but really wonderful pairing of all the flavors.

I would dine here again in a heartbeat. (And I hope I do - there are many more things on the menu I’d like to try!)
