Best crab Rangoon we’ve ever had. Uses real ingredients and doesn’t skimp on portion size/fillings. 100% worth the price, do the all you can eat!

Excellent Sushi and Consistently Great Service

I’ve been a loyal customer here for over four years, and it continues to be the best sushi spot in the area. The quality of the food is consistently outstanding. Having spent two weeks in Japan, I can confidently say this restaurant offers some of the most authentic and high-quality sushi in the suburbs.

Jenny, the hostess, always provides exceptional service. She greets every guest with a warm smile and is consistently attentive. Her hospitality truly enhances the dining experience.

I’ve brought both friends and family on numerous occasions, and everyone has been thoroughly impressed. Highly recommended for anyone looking for great sushi at reasonable prices.

Amazing place. They do have an all you can eat too for sushi. I gave it 4 stars because my server kept taking dishes/drinks without asking if I was done. I did let them know. But other than that it is an amazing place to go to. I highly advise.

Came here for the 22.99 all you can eat lunch special.
Here is my honest opinion.
This wasn't made for the customers, it was made for the business owner. I feel this is their way to get rid of certain ingredients and items that aren't moving well, and create an image that you're getting more than what you are.
Each roll has fish that doesn't taste anywhere near fresh. All squishy textures. Not a good mouth feel.
And then usually each roll is packed with the most rice and veggies you've ever seen on a roll. Way more than needed. All to fill you up.
Lots of rice and veggies with a sliver of the fish meat, or a fish paste of sorts.
You pay a dollar for every piece you don't finish. So either way, cost to them is recouped.
The overall quality was as if I got it from the super market and left it in my fridge for a day or two.
If you like that sort of thing, this place is for you!

The all you can eat option is a good deal if you have a large appetite, just make sure to not over-order, and order a little bit at a time as they do charge $1 per piece of leftover food. The food was tasty, and they served it pretty quickly.

I think this deserves better than a four, perhaps a 4.4. Were it out of ten, I would give it a 7.5. It is not high end and you're not getting uni or ootoro anytime soon. Also, your GPS will try to put you into a dentist's parking lot. So: it is on the main drag but in a strip mall with some other food joints and you can park in the back. Also, the front door needs to be man-handled in the worst kind of way to open it.

The staff are suitably friendly without being intrusive. If you are there for the lunch all-you-can-eat, use the green ordering slips. IYKYK We ordered way, way too much (we were there for a Navy graduation and our sailor's eyes were bigger than his stomach) and there is a $1 PER PIECE charge for leftovers. That isn't as much as you might think, considering (at least in our area) sushi rolls average $6-8 per roll. The mackerel was a standout for me. If you don't like strong tasting fish you may not like it. Also, the mountain roll was phenomenal. I am allergic to avocado so they were kind enough to have me write that down on my slip and to make a couple things for me without, because about half that menu has avocado in it. (Welcome to Midwest sushi, which is full of avocado and cream cheese for whatever reason.)

The price is reasonable, the food is on par with that you pay, but I think it matches the price point perfectly. It is exactly what it is and honestly- for sushi in a strip mall in a small, Midwestern town, it is better that expected.

Oishi Sushi used to have much better customer service. They have become much more stingy with leftover food. We left just a bit fried rice and a piece of chicken, and they told us to eat all of it or pay extra. They were incredibly ungracious. The food is honestly decent (reason for giving 3 stars for food), but beware of leaving any food, even a bit of rice.
I used to love coming here, but they have clearly shifted their vision of what customer service looks like - very ungracious. The atmosphere became very uncomfortable after that and ruined the entire experience. I will not be ever coming back.
