AMAZING! Just moved to Libertyville and my girlfriend and I were wondering what to have for our first dinner at our new place…she wanted Vietnamese. I’ve never had it so was unsure but after reading some reviews was like “why not.” FYI it’s cash or Zelle only, they have an ATM inside.

I ordered the Bun Combo Shrimp & Lemongrass Pork & Egg Roll since I wanted to play it safe. It was delicious, tasty, and all the flavors worked well together. My gf ordered the Pho Tai, the broth alone was perfect. I was slurping it down just by itself!

This won’t be the last time we visit, we’ll definitely be back and can’t wait! Highly recommend, in case you haven’t figured it out yet!

The best pho around! Yes, I know it's personal opinion but it is delicious and they have the best boba ever. I only by boba here or in Vietnamese Town Chicago. It is not made with powder. It's made with the real thing. My favorite is the lemongrass vermicelli salad but their pho is so amazing.Highly recommend for nice atmosphere, Amazing food and very affordable prices.

Perfect for groups! The food was amazing and staff was so friendly. I was here for my sister’s naval bootcamp graduation and this place made my trip even more worthwhile. 5 stars!!!

i got the shrimp fried rice and the rice was bland and greasy. the server rarely came to our table. we waited 15-20 mins for our check when our server was just sitting at the bar. would not recommend this place at all.

Unfortunately, I had a really bad experience here on 4/13/25. I ordered a pork banh mi, the meat was totally undercooked, basically raw as shown in the image below (which gave me food poisoning later that night). The meat and vegetables were served at room temperature--not hot, not cold, just... off. It made me question how long the food had been sitting out before it got to me.

Within hours, I was extremely sick--nausea, diarrhea, stomach cramps, fatigue, extreme dehydration and I ended up having to leave work early on Monday. Food safety is not something to take lightly, especially when it comes to pork.

If you decide to eat here, PLEASE be careful and check your food before digging in. I truly hope they address this issue before someone else gets sick.

Price: $6-7 for 1 banh mi, $6 for an order of crab rangoon
Taste: Flavor of everything in it was bland. The bread tasted old as it was very very dry. Every place I've ever gotten banh mi from, the bread was always fresh or made day of. The filling inside the crab rangoon was very very sweet--not my preference since the sauce they gave me was also sweet.
. The lady who took my order wasn't that friendly or welcoming. She was on her phone the whole time and acted like she didn't want to be there.

I order the pho doc biet, added fish bits and fried pot stickers. Amazing! It was done wonderfully! It was so nice to have on a cold day. Really hit the spot. The taste was just out of this world.

Food was great, service was great also but the person that seemed to be in charge, took our order after we ordered appetizers and she did not seem pleased to take our order. Maybe I’m exaggerating, but I like to feel welcome where I’m going to pay for my food. And service.

We had a Good Dinner experience before at Viet Taste in Libertyville IL + tried to go back again. But their Website listed WRONG HOURS for The Weekend. It stated they are opened until 10PM on Friday thru Sunday -- but this is incorrect. Instead -- they close everyday at ONLY 8pm. So we wasted Our Time to Drive Out 48 Minutes / 13 Miles one way + each way. That Was Surely NOT A Pleasant Experience !!! More Confusion -- their Website still lists a different Restaurant Name as Pho House instead of Viet Taste as posted on their Outdoor Restaurant Sign. Plus -- Google Search lists their Restaurant Name as Viet Taste Libertyville (Phở House And Banh Mi Baguette). Looks like they need to update their Website to prevent future Confusion again to other persons !!

I order from here once a week. I have ordered over 30 times this year and the issue is they are inconsistent. Sometimes the broth tastes very good and is very flavorful; other times I order and it is flavorless and I don’t even eat it. The only reason I order from here so often is bc they deliver through Grubhub. If my favorite pho place was on Grubhub I would order from them instead.

Was going to give this place a 5 star rating, but one of my daughters got sick after eating here and when we warmed up our left over rice we took home to my surprise I found a metal shaving in my rice. And no, it was not a staple. Maybe in the future, I will re visit this place, but I will wait and see other reviews as time passes by.

This place provides Viet cuisine in an informal and family atmosphere. Food is good at reasonable prices. Great location with plenty of parking.
