Ristorante Bottaio

Great experiences at Bottaio are getting to be commonplace. That is in no way to diminish the excellence of this great restaurant. It is only to praise the consistency with which the owners, staff, servers and chefs deliver pleasurable dining time after time. The lunch specials are the most extraordinary offering anywhere on the North Shore. The entrees are perfectly prepared and beyond satisfying. As noted by others, repeat customers are recognized and acknowledged on every visit. The wine list is superb and appropriately priced, something rarely encountered in any North Shore restaurant. If you do not live near Libertyville, just make the trip!

Professionally run operation. Perhaps experiment playing music to create an East Coast Italian vibe to partially muffle the noise level from patrons conversations.

The food was great and so was the service. It was quiet because it was the time close to break between lunch and dinner. Maybe it feels different when it is full of people. we enjoyed our lunch very much. Everyone loved their food.

Food and service was absolutely great. Wine list could be a bit better. Overall, excellent.

The food and wine were both delicious. We had a nice table by the front window. We always enjoy our time at Bottaio!

Food was great, service was great. The only complaint I would have is that we were seated in the main dining area and adjacent to our two person table was a large group, approximately 12-15 people. This did make it a little hard to communicate with each other. This just seemed like a poor seating arrangement. Other than that it was a great dinner and we will definitely return.

Best food ever! The service is amazing, food is perfectly spaced out when ordered. Also the bread you get as soon as you sit down is heavenly

Excellent Food and Service...however...the noise level is above what one would expect from an intimate dining experience...and...the headlights from Milwaukee Avenue shining through the windows was a bit of an annoyance...but then again the food and service were excellent...and we will probably return...

Both chicken piccata and Beef Bolognese were excellent as well as the Napa cabernet and the vanilla gelato

Our service was excellent and the food was prepared as requested and arrived at the proper temperature. I recommend Ristorante Bottaio highly for a nice meal at a fair price.

The food and service were excellent. The portions were terrific. Our group had pasta, salad and seafood.

Absolutely delicious. I had a whitefish special, my husband had chix parm, both were outstanding. Service was great. The patio room tends to get loud, still very enjoyable dinner.

First time here. Wonderful food and pleasant staff. Definitely would go back. Reasonable price.

The food here is simply tremendous. The dishes are creative and flavorful without going over the top.
