Tavern Steakhouse Libertyville

We went to dinner for our anniversary and had a wonderful time. The ambiance, the food and the staff were excellent. We would strongly recommend the experience.

The Tavern is always an amazing experience. The food is delicious, the staff superb and the atmosphere is charming, quiet and relaxed. There are a lot of local restaurants where you can get steak, but none as enjoyable as the Tavern.

Our family has been going to Tavern for well over 30 years. A few of their servers have been working there since " Tavern in the Town" opened in the 1980's. That alone tells a lot about the quality here. While other places have come and gone, Tavern sustained. That too tells a big story. It's much more of an experience than just a great meal. We all know how expensive it has become to go out - anywhere. If you're looking for this kind of experience - look no firther.

Food is outstanding. Ambience is a great little hideaway in the heart of Libertyville. Only area of opportunity is the timeliness and professionalism of the wait staff.

It had been years since we visited Tavern and was very disappointed. I asked by my steak to be cooked medium and it was super well done, over tenderized and very salty.

Steaks perfectly cooked as ordered and seasoned beautifully. Salads were generous, fresh, and flavorful. Excellent truffle fries and mushrooms. Very good desserts in a reasonable portion size. Amazing wine list.

Celebrated our anniversary. Sat upstairs. Not very crowded but the food and the wait staff were fantastic. Our food was cooked to order. The only problem was we both ordered the delicious onion soup and this filled us up! Good news is we will have leftovers. The wine selection by the glass was also very good. I'd recommend!

Excellent food and great service. This is a unique restaurant with a great interior design.

Amanda was an excellent server. I commented that the lentil purée was delicious, and she packed some up with our leftovers! Then, when we were deciding between two desserts, she brought out both (one on her). Highly recommend. We will be back!

I had the most amazing night and dinner… i set the stage by asking for some good and CARMIN did not disappoint! She was exceptional! Her attention to detail and positive attitude attitude and great energy was outstanding! Thank you Carmen! ?

Carmin was an amazing server. She was very attentive and friendly! We had a fabulous time and meal celebrating our 35th wedding anniversary. We celebrate here every year.

We were celebrating a birthday and everything was perfect! We felt very special! The food was great! The service from Brittany which was in training with another waiter were so attentive and personable. Shannon was one of the mangers on duty and was equally amazing! Definitely going back and recommend them highly! Thank you from the birthday girl lol! :)
