I went recently with my wife, and I’m rating it 3 due to our huge difference of opinion.
My wife said she liked the food and that the portion sizes were perfect.
I ate my food because I was starving. Eggs were overcooked, coffee was watery, biscuit gravy was very heavy on salty bacon flavor, and potatoes were bland (even for potatoes). The pancakes were unusual - somewhat overcooked on the outside and very rubbery. I felt the portions were undersized.
We both agreed that it was WAY too expensive for the quality. There are a lot of choices in the area at those prices or less that are much better. Where many are calling the decor cozy, we found it drab, lifeless and dated.

Me and my family decided to go to Townee Square Restaurant and we absolutely loved it! The atmosphere is extremely cozy, the staff is super friendly, the restaurant is really clean, and the food was incredible! If I could rate this 10 stars I 100% would! Definitely go here if you find yourself in Libertyville!
Breakfast many Thursdays with a networking group. Great way to start your day. Great food, a coffee cup that's never empty and personable, efficient staff. Owners are friendly and care.

Great service, friendly staff. The margarita was on the softer side, and they offer other alcoholic drinks. All else food wise was delicious. Parking available in rear.

Great staff and delicious reasonably priced menu. If you are looking to support a small local business, start here. You will not be sorry. Oh, did I say they have the BEST tuna salad in town? SnarfOn!

My hunny & I came here for the first time a few weeks back & upon walking in you get that cozy comfy feeling. It has that old school diner kind of look/feel. We came early on a Saturday morning so we didn't have a wait time. I got a Belgian waffle with eggs & bacon along with a smoothie, my hunny got a skillet. I really really wanted to be impressed by the food but it was a let down. The smoothie had more of a milkshake consistency & it tasted like milk was in it. My waffle tasted pretty bland :/ & my hunny wasn't impressed with his skillet. It was worth a try.

We tried to eat here on a Saturday around lunch time. We are from the southwest suburbs, but we were in the area for a swim meet, and thought we’d try it out based on the reviews here on Google Maps.We entered through the back and we were happy to see that there were several open tables throughout the restaurant. We got to the hostess stand and there was a line waiting to be seated. We were told it would be about 15 minutes for a table. We gave our name and began to wait despite the fact that there were at least 4 or 5 tables unoccupied to seat our party of 4.After a few minutes, a family of 4 came in behind us. The owner ran over to give them hugs and ask how they were doing. She was very sweet. Asking how the kids were doing in school and what not. After a few more minutes, the group in front of us was seated, so we were excited to be next. After a few more minutes, they literally let the people who came in behind us take the table for 4 in the front window that just opened up, and left us standing there!!!! Absolutely unbelievable.I told my family that we were leaving, and we found a place down the street instead.Avoid the Townee Square Restaurant unless you are friends with the ownership, then you will be treated like royalty. If you’re just some regular old customer, you’ll be passed to the side until all of the VIPs have been seated.Complete joke, I wish I could give it 0 stars, but 1 is the minimum.
