This is the second time we hire chef by request services . The most recent was yesterday , for our daughter first communion. They were punctual , I love the presentation , the food was outstanding . Everyone was talking about how great everything was . The pastries were so good , and everything was looking great. They packed everything so perfect that are not accidents at all. I will continue to use them for future events .

Used them for our wedding at the Moment on Main in Wheaton (they are a preferred vendor there). Delicious food, competitive pricing, and professional service. We got their "mixer" package and ordered the liquor from Prestige Liquors in Westmont; which was our best option with a relatively dry crowd. Amanda was great to work with and made the tasting a lot of fun. We got a ton of compliments on our breakfast-for-dinner food. I also appreciated how professional they were with us using an outside dessert; I have been to weddings where the caterer refuses to touch any food except their own and it made for an awkward serving situation. Their serving staff and bartenders were very kind, and I appreciated how they did a " last call" for our buffet meal. I don't know if they always do that, but I had mentioned to Amanda that I wanted to reduce food waste as much as possible so I appreciated them taking action to ensure our food was enjoyed by anyone who wanted more! Their contract was very fair terms- we had our wedding during a snowstorm and they were on-time with no substitutions. They also offered alternative meals for our guests with allergies, which were also well-received. Would recommend!

We hired Chef by Request for our wedding in June 2023, and were very pleased with the quality of the food, service, planning experience, and communication.They worked with us to craft a menu that would appeal to many palates, was mindful of allergies, inclusive and as locally sourced as possible. Of the four vendors we reached out to, Chef by Request was the most responsive and the only one able to commit to sourcing local produce.While there were some bumps along the way (we went through multiple iterations of the "final" menu and details such as the linens until it was correctly recorded), Amanda met us where we were and ensured everything was set up and presented as we wanted it to be. She was collaborative and easy to work with, especially since we also hired a day-of coordinator and composting service.Everyone at our wedding loved the food -- and I appreciated having a plate of strawberries that were absolutely grown on a small farm and sourced locally.

She was super friendly, attentive and made the experience even greater. The food was great, received lots of compliments from our guests. And kudos to the serving team for handling the last-minute menu and seating changes our guests threw at them without breaking a sweat.Great food, great service, and they handle curveballs like pros. Everything was excellent !!!!! I did Brunch for my daughter's bridal shower. Everyone loved the scrambled eggs with just the right amount of veggies mixed in for extra flavor. The sausages were huge with a Maple flavoring, and the French toast was extra thick. There was an impressive of food. They did not skimp.
