I don't believe rib was hickory smoked. Maybe baked like another viewer said. The sauce does have hickory smoke taste, if that you preference then this is the place for you.

Avoid. I am a true smokehouse BBQ pro. I literally threw entire meal away. Nice guy. But just awful. And the bathroom was not clean. It pains me to write this as I don't enjoy it

Just found my new rib joint!! Best ribs in DuPage Co. John and his son are there are still in charge of cooking the food. And a Full slab is a FULL slab!! And don’t forget the curly fries!!

Had a a very tasty lunch. John was very friendly & provided great service. The barbecue shredded pork sandwich and slaw were a terrific combo. Have finally found my go to barbecue place.
Parking: Parking is plentiful and close to the restaurant .
Wheelchair accessibility: Curb cut close by. Straight shot thru the door.
Was on my way back to St.louis from a work trip in Naperville. Saw this place and decided to stop in. I was greated by the nicest man who was a joy to speak to. You can tell that he is passionate about his BBQ in every bite. The rib tips were great! Thanks for the conversation and great BBQ! I will for sure be back!

I'm writing this as I'm scarfing down this delicious food.Went in for the first time and was greeted by the sweetest man ever!I got the rib tips and chicken wing combo. The rib tips are amazing. A little sweet, a little spicy.. the perfect combo. The wings are full size and are fresh and perfectly cooked. Definitely going back!

Just ordered this on Thanksgiving 2023 for lunch. Only one older gentleman was there and he made it all by himself. I got a half dozen butterfly shrimp with fries and my girl girl got a full slab of ribs with curly fries. Everything was an easy 10/10. My only regret is that I didn't get a full dozen of the shrimp. We will be back. Don't sleep on John's Rib House. Just don't. It'll be your biggest regret. We were literally speechless while eating and watching our show, which is very unusual of us.
Had the pulled pork and beans. Delicious, so much pork on my sandwich! Extremely friendly and cheaper than most meals these days. Will gladly continue coming here.

We showed up @620pm on a Friday and this place was with all lights off and door closed. Google said they were opened until 9pm today. They didn’t even leave a note saying “sold out or closed for the day etc…” bad business management.

Had John’s Turkey Leg at Naper Nights last night. I’m so glad I asked for one as it wasn’t written on the white board. It was delicious. One of the best I ever had!!!!!

I stopped at John's Rib House for lunch. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich with fries to go. My order was packed perfectly. The pulled pork was placed on the bottom with foil covering it and the toasted bun was placed on top with my sauce on the side. The pork was smoked to perfection. I will definitely be back.
