I went to Lucky Wok tonight and the food was horrible. It was very stale and hard. I've gone here many times before and never experienced this. I'm so disappointed. This has turned me off completely and makes me not want to go back. I don't like wasting money on food that I expect to be good, then ends up being bad. They should be ashamed that they gave me this. What a waste.

Food was ok. Not excellent, wishing it was...a little irritated about cash being required for food costs less than $20.00. Seems all the prices have been increased as the menu had strips of colored paper with newly written prices. Didn't that increase cover your bank charges for credit card charges??? Also this notice of "cash required for orders under 20.00" is at the register. If notice would have been on the front door I could have checked that I had enough cash before I entered and ordered. I did have enough money but, I also had a sour flavor before I even tasted the food.

We were ordering from , Lucky Wok regularly , but within the past year or two, the quality of their food declined. My family and I would order the Shrimp fried rice(L), Shrimp egg foo young and the Shrimp low mein. In 2022, the Shrimp fried rice lost its flavor, so we ask to add extra green onion and beans sprouts. Then in 2023 we ordered our favorite order, then the shrimp egg foo young patties decreased in size and lost their flavor and the shrimp fried rice still was flavorless! We ordered again back in Oct of 2023 and they sent 1/2 cooked shrimp fried rice which was 1/2 white. They promised us a credit and when we tried to redeem it, they said it was too long , since we ordered. So we are done with this place! I do believe they have different owners and cooks because this place is now a dump !!!!!!!! If I could put negative stars I would! ????

So sad. Everything has changed here and nothing is good! Go somewhere else The eggs rolls were the best and now are spiced with nutmeg/5 spice..my grandkids wouldn't eat them

We've been going here for years. Their food was phenomenal. Not sure what happened, but tonight it was bland and nothing like previous orders. New management? New chef? Not good. Sorry to lose such a wonderful restaurant.
***UPDATE: New Ownership*** Unfortunately that is not great news as the portions, quality, and taste changed :( I'm sad as this was one of my go to Chinese places. The only things that remained the same are the location and prices while the portions decreased by 1/3, and the cooking quality declined. I'm being very generous with the 3-stars as the food is still edible but I'm probably not returning unless I'm desperate. Not-so Lucky Wok anymore

I really wanted to love this place it was recommended by a friend I took the 20 minute drive. And it was a waste of time and money for $36 dollars I got a large chicken fried rice that was sprinkled with chicken and the rice didn't even seemed fried and it had no taste. We also got an orange chicken which was pretty good and a chicken egg foo young which had absolutely no chicken and no taste. I'm not a sauce person and to get this food down I had to drench it in sweet and sour sauce. The service was good and the decoration could use some sprucing up. I will not be returning if you want good Chinese food go to number 1 chop suey in Oak park. I'm never disappointed and the food is always delicious it's worth the hour drive.

I've been ordering carry out from Lucky Wok for at least 8 years. The last 4 times I've ordered, there have been issues. We've had mission items and terrible food! We had a large order for a birthday party, and the XL fried rice was dark brown from being overcooked and way too much soy sauce added to the dish; it tasted bad. We ordered 2 LG orders of Orange Chicken, which is a spicy dish, and it had no spice to it! I called and complained, and after arguing with one of the owners, I finally got a credit for the 3 items. I picked up food today and received my free items. They got the fried rice but the Orange Chicken still didn't have any spice to it! I called the owner, and she said the items were checked and were spicy. They weren't even close! I asked her if there were new owners which she confirmed that they were new owners. Tonight was the last order I'll be getting from Lucky Wok! They are inconsistent and do not care about quality!
