I really don't understand all the great reviews here. A while back, we stopped by, hoping to get some good pound cake and muffins, being that PoundCake Bakery is the name of the place! But, that was hardly the case. My wife got a piece of lemon-blueberry pound cake which was quite tasteless and hard. (Maybe they really wanted to emphasize, 'Pound Cake'). Meanwhile, I got a blueberry muffin which was partially frozen, apparently from being made prior, and not fresh at all. As for the coffee, at this point, I wouldn't remember, being that everything else was so bad........... Wow!!! Can You Believe the Response From The Owner? Apparently I Dared to dislike the baked goods at Poundcake Bakery! After all, they sell their product by the tens of thousands... Meanwhile, there were apparently several ways I failed as a customer and should have done things differently... And BTW, I'm not 'Confused' at all... I'm sure I can remember where I didn't like the food... And, I would be more than happy to provide you with a proof of purchase... Always nice to know exactly what type of owner you're really dealing with... Thanks for the response... And have a wonderful day...

What a wonderful experience at PoundCake Bakery!My friend and I were out and about, exploring downtown Lisle when we came across this cute little shop. Who could have predicted that we would meet the kindest people, have some delicious cake, and coffee! The owner, Bev, is incredibly passionate about her business and it's admirable. If you're in the area, definitely give this place a try.
This is the place when you want delicious cake ? it is off the chain delicious. BETH is an excellent baker I love this place.

Despite very nice service, the old fashioned and cinnamon cream cheese pound cakes were inedible. The old fashioned was dry and tasteless with a denseness that screamed for milk which for the price was an absolute shame. The cinnamon cream pound cake had so much cinnamon flavor that it burned our tastebuds after each bite. The only highlight was the Mexican chocolate poundcake which had a nice flavor but did not resemble a typical poundcake in neither texture nor taste. It was a very disappointing experience since my dad had specifically requested poundcake for his birthday celebration so visited your location splurged on 3 cakes. I guess this will be a lesson learned on our end. When we arrived home we saw that these poundcake do not even use butter in their ingredient list - they rely on margarine. Very disappointing indeed.

Wonderful bakery! Very accommodating! Called ahead and they were just putting a Key lime pie in the oven and had it ready when I put in online the time I was going to pick it up! Last minute order and they were wonderful making sure it was done on time! The pie was very delicious! My husband loved it for his birthday! Thank you for your help!!!

Love this bakery!! Their pound cake is the best!! I have used them for my client appreciation just before Thanksgiving. The loafs of pound cake are delicious as well as the platters to serve. My clients love getting them as gifts. Highly recommend for yourself or to share with others!!
