Clean and quaint. Dining area was full when we arrived. Great food- the eggrolls were some of best I've had. Orange chicken was crispy. Mongolian beef very tasty, but a bit too soft for me ( I prefer a bit of crisp to this dish). Shrimp fried rice was plentiful and very good. I didn't care for the crab rangoon (sweet) or scallion pancake ( chewy)...but I would definitely come back again and get LOTS of eggrolls!

First time diners, very impressed, will definitely come back . Despite an unassuming storefront in a strip mall, the place was clean and the food was fresh and delicious. Ordered several Northeastern Chinese specialties - all pretty authentic. Business was brisk, which is always a good sign.

I have been looking for a good Chinese restaurant in the area and I’m so glad I found S.Y Chef!! My family and I did a carry out order and everything was delicious! You can tell there is a lot of attention to detail and care that goes into preparing the food. Best Chinese food I’ve had in a long time!

Wow pretty authentic Chinese cuisine!! Some of the dishes were very flavorful at the same time you can make it spicy with your flavor profile! The portions are large enough to share with a group. Recommend for anyone who lives in the vicinity. The shredded chicken in special spicy sauce and the boiled Sichuan fish were our favorites.
GET THE CUMIN LAMB!!!! The flavors are out of this world.
For the mapo tofu, they do not use meat in it, which I do think would be nice if it had ground beef in it as an option for the added flavor.

The chef at S Y Chef is amazing! The dishes flavors are superior to a typically good Chinese restaurant. It’s very difficult to find a good Chinese restaurant & S. Y Chef is far better than that. On our first try at S. Y Chef we were giddy to find Chinese food where the chef is an actual authentic chef. On our subsequent visits, the small seating area filled by all asian guests is a testament to the chef’s ability in delivering wonderful flavors.
Since our first visit, we’ve tried different dishes and all have had that wonderful considered seasoning/flavoring unique to each dish. It’s a joy to finally experience a true chef’s offerings.
A note to the restaurant:
When I looked S. Y Chef restaurant up on google, I found it didn’t appear in my search under “Chinese” food/restaurant by me. I found the reason was because it was listed as a “Rice Restaurant” so I asked google to change it to “Chinese Restaurant”. Hope I did the right thing to help you S. Y Chef. Never change!
