Avanzare Italian Restaurant

My rigatoni, peas and sausage pasta dish was delicious. My wife had the salmon entree and it was delicious and perfectly cooked. Service was prompt, friendly and informative. Very reasonably priced menu - a great value!

Can't get enough of Avanzare. So many choices that you could eat here twice a week. Great wine selection and you will not find a friendlier staff.

Had such a fantastic time celebrating a birthday here! The food was absolutely delicious, and everyone really enjoyed their meals. On top of that, the service was top-notch, making the whole experience even more special. I'd highly recommend this place for any special occasion. We'll definitely be back again soon! We couldn't decide on a dessert, so we tried everything. Amazing!

Absolutely loved this place! You can really feel that it’s a family-owned Italian restaurant the moment you walk in. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the staff treat you like part of the family.
The food was incredible fresh, authentic, and clearly made with care. From the pasta to the sauces to the desserts, everything tasted homemade and full of flavor. You can tell they take pride in what they serve.
If you’re looking for genuine Italian food and great hospitality, this spot is a gem. We’ll definitely be coming back!

If you like eating traditional delicious Italian food, this is the place. Friendly attentive service. Warm Ambiance with low level noise. Great value too!

This was our first time visiting and we heard and read good things. We were seated right away; however, it took 30min to get water in our glasses. I talked to the wait staff after 10min, but we still had to wait another 20min. We only had 1 glass at our table, and it was dirty. One of the overhead lights was flashing, which was causing me a headache.

Food-wise, our appetizer was fine. My short rib was good. My wife's carbonara was not good at all. She was very hungry and could not finish more than half of it; she was getting sick. It tasted bland and had a strange, slimy texture to me.

Overall, there was nothing redeemable about Avanzare. There's no reason I can think to visit this restaurant again. All I was thinking about the whole time is how I'd much rather be at Fire + Win in Glen Ellyn. The food is better, the service is better, the ambiance is better, AND the prices are cheaper!

Staff was kind and patient for such a busy Valentine's Day. Reservation may still mean a wait if it's packed like a holiday, but the food is amazing and the staff is very kind and vigilant! A regular spot for us!

Got there at reservation time, waited 45 minutes. Had multiple tables come in after us get served before us. We eventually just walked out

Had 730 reservations. Was still waiting for a table at 905. Had cocktails at the bar. Only one bartender doing service tickets and taking care of bar guests. Tried ordering food to-go, was told 2 hours before it was ready. This was at 845, left at 905.

Restaurant is so amazing but PLEASE PLEASE set reservation limits on holidays. Reservation was at 7pm and we got seated at 7:45. The staff was forced to deal with a stressful amount of upset people and it could have easily been avoided by setting limits for registration. I don't want the amazing staff at Avanzare to have to go through that again.

On 2/7/26, we attended a luncheon after a funeral at restaurant. Food was excellent and service was excellent. Group of about 50 and I didn't hear any complaints about food or service.
