Wow. WOW! Schnitzel sandwich 10/10, Old Fashioned 10/10, Mushroom soup - outstanding, Banana Pie 300/10. Complete surprise. Staff is excellent. Amazing actually. Magnus is a fantastic server and went out of his way to make everything great. The owner checked in and everything was top notch. Do yourself a favor and visit Babcock’s Grove House soon.

We really enjoyed the food in this historic restaurant built in what was previously a hotel here in Babcock’s Grove (an old town name for Glen Ellyn and Lombard). Freebird buffalo chicken bowl which had the option of quinoa and greens was fresh and tasty. My friend enjoyed the classic burger. At this restaurant they don’t freeze food and use fresh foods with locally source their ingredients as much as possible.
The service was nice and the atmosphere pleasant inside as well as outside. I really appreciated that inside they have several wall pictures that are educational, like a woman who was first to vote in Illinois for she fought for her rights. Overall a positive experience.
Wheelchair accessibility: No wheelchair accessibility for the entrance. Entrance are made with a few steps of bricks to climb.

First time visiting and food was good along with service. There were 4 of us and we were able to get a table inside. They also had outdoor seatings. Overall good atmosphere and nice place to eat. Burgers, meatloaf, chicken snitzels were good. Pretzels were good with 2 dipping sauces.

What a nice small place in downtown Lombard. Know that this is a place where you go to the counter and place your order and a server brings your order to your table. My wife and I went here for lunch and got a booth right at the window, for a nice view. I got the Brunch Burger, which was very tasty. I highly recommend. My wife got the smoked salmon bowl, which was a little Smokey for her liking. We split the fries, which there was plenty with two dipping sauces that were very good. The prices are very reasonable. We look forward to going back again and will try sitting outside. Only thing I would like to see improvement on, is the hostess needs to be more inviting and friendly. I have a teenager with attitude at home, don’t want it when I go out.

Steve and his staff were transparent and forthcoming about the reality of seating our party of 10 on a very busy night. That being said, they found a way to push a few tables together and as a result, a dinner with multiple families was able to be enjoyed by all. Food was great, prices are more than fair and the customer service was refreshing! Thank you for the extra effort. Lombard has a real gem in Babcock’s!
3.5*'s nothing exceptional. Well done smash burgers. Not a 4.7* location but quick and fair on price. Fries are limp. Buns are great, meat and toppings are average
