Falak Restaurant & Banquets

We hosted a reception for 80 members at Falak Restaurant and Banquet, and it was an incredibly disappointing experience. The food and service were the worst we’ve ever encountered. I strongly advise against choosing this venue for any event.

Falak Restaurant and Banquet in Lombard, IL was a big disappointment. The food was the worst I’ve ever had, and their banquet services did not meet even basic expectations. I wouldn’t recommend them if you want to host an event that leaves a good impression on your guests.

We hosted a dinner for 20 at their restaurant. The food was good and plentiful, served hot and service was prompt. I planned ahead and made a booking a couple of days before.

Their manager Mr Zaki is friendly and very helpful.
When we arrived, the table was set and looked nice. Highly recommend their Nihari and Biryani!

The worst Biryani. I ordered Biryani and chilli chicken at 2:30pm and when I got the order it was not fresh and the food was very dry and the curd and gravy was rotten.

I did spend 48$ not for this service. Very bad. They don’t send fresh food if you order. They just send bad food and dirty food.
And that is very bad. My friend after eating this food fell sick.

This is not the right way to give rotten food.

Person who was at the counter is not honoring the price on line and charge more than what it would be. Not a good business practice. Does not appear to be business friendly

The food was wonderful and staff was really nice! Zaki bhai manager was very kind to us. The food was tasty authentic south asian cuisine. Very good place for family. They also do catering and even have a banquet hall.

Try Delicious Hyderabadi food, friendly staff.

Booked our wedding here the Venue was okay nothing spectacular with things promised and btw make sure you have a point of contact to keep an eye out on food and the cake your order because the venue is shady and will secretly just say they “tossed it out” instead of giving it to you or family to take it with you 3 thumbs down don’t recommend

Slowest service and doesn't provide any condiments with the food. I don't recommend any Hyderabadi to eat here.

If I could give this a zero stars I would. I hosted a party in their banquet hall on August 11, 2024 and during the party my son experienced a severe food allergy from the chicken qorma that they had made with nuts. They had made it with ground cashews and did not clearly label the food or mention that this item would have nuts mixed into it. My son experienced a severe anaphylactic allergic reaction and was taken the the emergency room. Upon letting them know that this incident occurred, while in their banquet hall and confirming with one of the staff that nuts were mixed into the food, the staff was very unapologetic. Rather than take responsibility for their lack of disclosure, food labeling and adherence to laws stating that all food and allergens be clearly stated when served they dismissed my concern and proceeded to blame me for my lack of knowledge of their ingredients and preparation. When running a restaurant, catering business or banquet venue, you are required BY LAW to clearly post, label or specify items that have common allergens, which this establishment did not. They stated that their restaurant portion has a sign posted but their banquet area did not, which is where we were. I would discourage any person with food allergies from visiting this place as they do no take accountability or show any concern for individuals that may suffer due to their negligence.

I was there for a ghazal program and found the service and place to be in a pathetic condition. The Food was average and the staff particularly one tall person who claimed to own the place was rude and passing unwanted racist type remarks. Would not recommend unless you are looking to be treated shabbily or to pick a fight.
