Very noisy, but worth it for the food.

Only complaint was that the dining room was noisy, so that it made conversation difficult. Most likely the result of a large crowd, with a 20 to 40 minute wait.

Vegetarian options: Depends on how strict a vegetarian. It is authentic Greek cuisine, so there are many seafood options. Strict vegetarians will be limited to roasted vegetables and hummus dishes, but they will try their best to accommodate.

Dietary restrictions: Gluten free dishes are labeled on the menu, but I don't think this is a totally gluten free kitchen with separate prep and cooking areas.

Parking: Large self parking lot that can overflow into other parking areas.

Kid-friendliness: Lots of families with children dine here. Many options on a children's menu.

Wheelchair accessibility: Large dining area with good access to move around, including the washrooms. Very little floor transitions (bumps or steps) unless one is going to back private dining rooms.

First time dining here. Even though it looked like we would have to wait, we were greeted and seated as soon as we walked in. The staff was very attentive and the food was wonderful! Will definitely return!

Had my family in town, seventeen of us including 6 children under 8 years old. The Islands had us in a semi private room and the service that Antonio provided was exquisite. It was a truly great and memorable experience and the kids really enjoyed the "Oooppaaa"

Brought my party of 10 to share the enjoyment of this restaurant since my husband and I were regulars. Everyone seemed to have a pleasant dining experience until our waiter decided otherwise - our bill was a little over $350 and we tipped 20% however the waiter (darker features + greek accent) flipped our bill over and exposed it to our guests to express his frustration that he felt it wasn’t enough and proceeded to ask, very loudly might I add, “how come you only gave this much” to which my husband then increased the tip which left our guests absolutely speechless. Needless to say, we will NEVER be returning. This seems to be a common occurrence based on previous reviews which is a shame.

I’ve brought out-of-state guests to this restaurant expecting a pleasant dining experience, given the Mediterranean cuisine, which we enjoyed. Unfortunately, the service severely impacted our visit. The waiter was slow, and his attitude left much to be desired. There were personal undertones in his behavior toward our table, which I won't detail here, but they were inappropriate.

At the end of our $200 meal, I left a $20 tip, which I felt was fair given the service. The waiter, however, expressed dissatisfaction and went as far as showing the bill to my guest's wife, stating that I should have tipped 20%. This public complaint was completely unprofessional and embarrassing. To avoid further confrontation, I increased the tip to $50, but the damage was done.

This experience overshadowed the quality of the food and firmly placed Greek Island Restaurant on our "never return" list. It's a shame that a single employee’s lack of respect and greed can ruin an otherwise promising establishment.

Everything was great except the waiter. He was not happy with the tip he got and he complained about it. At the beginning we were thinking that he was having fun but he was serious and he came back and asked for more tips. This is insane.
