this qawah house was beyond exceptional! from their costumer service to the delish drinks. I had ordered a drink which I myself was not a fan of, I asked to exchange for free and they were extremely helpful and let me exchange my drink. The workers were kind and funny and the atmosphere was full of laughter and smiles! I will definitely recommend this place to everyone!!! It was a 10/10.

Adeni Chai at Qahwah House – Comfort in a Cup, Conversation in the Air
If you're looking for more than just a cup of tea—something soulful, social, and spiced just right—Adeni Chai at Qahwah House is the experience you didn’t know you needed.
From the moment you step inside, the ambiance wraps around you like a soft shawl. Warm lighting, low chatter, the scent of cardamom in the air—it’s not just a coffeehouse, it’s a cultural retreat. Whether you’re catching up with friends or enjoying a solo pause from a hectic day, the vibe here is calm, cozy, and real.
Then there’s the Adeni Chai:
Poured steaming into a delicate glass, this Yemeni classic is creamy, aromatic, and gently spiced. Notes of clove, cinnamon, and cardamom swirl with evaporated milk, making each sip feel like a hug. Not overly sweet, not overpowering—just perfectly balanced. You can taste tradition in every drop.
Best shared in a pot with friends or savored slowly alone, it invites conversation. The kind that flows easily—light laughs, meaningful chats, ideas exchanged over warmth and steam.
Pair it with their Khaliat Alnahl, a soft pull-apart honeycomb bread with a cream cheese center and sweet glaze, and you’ve got yourself a memorable chai moment.

The best tea I ever had in US. It is so addictive. A small pot easily serves 4-5 person (if you take cutting chai).

Qahwah House – Lombard (Near Villa Park, IL) Chicago
Just a short drive from Villa Park, Qahwah House in Lombard offers a unique and authentic Yemeni coffee experience. This cozy, beautifully designed café serves traditional drinks like spiced Qishr and Adeni chai, alongside specialty lattes such as the Knafeh Latte and pistachio latte. With its warm atmosphere, friendly service, and Middle Eastern pastries, Qahwah House has become a favorite for coffee lovers seeking something different from the usual café scene. It’s a perfect spot for relaxing, studying, or gathering with friends in a culturally rich and inviting setting.
Lovely coffee shop offering strong coffee and chai (not Indian style). The space is well decorated and the staff are friendly. The drinks are delicious! I also like they are open late hours so people have a place to hang out that is not related to alcohol. Free Wi-Fi and a good spot to stop by to hang with friends or get some work done. They do have some non-dairy options but not the whole menu.

Slow service. I ordered online, took 10 minutes to get there, had to wait another 20.
For $60 for four drinks and four pastries, you can invest in appropriate containers. The condensation from the cups literally turned the drink carrier into a soggy mess spilling coffee all over!
From whar I had left, it was decent but was too disappointed to really enjoy. With how expensive it is, will probably not be back

We had a great experience. The manager made some suggestions after I told things that I like. He was patient and ordered for me which ended up being phenomenal. I can't wait to try the Skokie location

A hidden gem just outside of the city! The mofawar with oat milk had just the right notes of cardomum and coffee, making for a very nice cup in the middle of the day. If this place was in the city, I'd be there every week, especially because of their all-day hours, making this a great place to socialize!

We stopped by with the family and absolutely loved it! The pistachio latte was amazing, the tres leches was so yummy, and the ambiance was perfect — cozy and inviting. My son loved the cake pop! A must-try spot; you won’t be disappointed!
