The restaurant itself earns it 5 stars. The employees are so SOOO friendly and kind. Such a welcoming establishment. The food was absolutely amazing and the pizza puffs are definitely a Chicago classic 😉I love this place!!

Food got more expensive, service and quality got worse. Spend over a hundred dollars here for ribs and wings, asked for bread they charged extra for it and gave us cold frozen bread. Back then ribs would come with bread and coleslaw

We did not know Zak's was Halal. The idea of Italian cuisine being Halal is something I am is still trying to get my head around. But that is my observation, and I am trained as an anthropologist. First, traditional Italian pasta dishes on a Friday evening with red sauce - wow! The sausage was exceptional and while the pasta was perfectly cooked the sauce was good but not anything special. It lacked unique Italian, old-school seasoning. I enjoyed it for its simplicity and will order it again, soon, and enjoy it just as much. I am really looking forward to trying other items on their extensive menu and what I suspect is we will enjoy all of them. What I absolutely loved about Zak's Pizza, Pasta and Wings is that it is Halal and we did not know that until walking in. As a 62 year old Irish American kid who loves Italian and French cuisine (especially Vietnamese French), the food is solid, the pricing was appreciated and I am thrilled your Pizza, Pasta and Wings are another option in Lombard for us to enjoy.

I called them Saturday to place a to-go order for ribs and they said they won’t have any until Thursday. It would make everyone’s life easier if they just served it on specific days until they’re sold out. Absolutely ridiculous & a waste of time.

I’ve been coming to Zak's since high school, and it’s truly one of those rare family-run gems that you don’t find often anymore. Zak, the owner, goes above and beyond—he knows most of his customers by name and makes everyone feel like family. He even remembers that I love spicy food and always makes sure my order has the extra kick I like, sometimes even bringing me peppers he grows himself.
The food has been consistently great over the years, with quality that never slips. It’s comforting to know that no matter how much time passes, Zak's always delivers the same care, flavor, and personal touch. This place really is a hidden gem, and I can’t recommend it enough.
The honey spicy wings are amazing, a little pricey, but totally worth it. Highly recommend everyone to try it ✌🏻
