Had a great experience here! The butter chicken was absolutely delicious rich, creamy, and packed with flavor. The portion size was generous, so it felt like a great value as well. Everything tasted fresh and well-prepared. Definitely a spot I’ll be coming back to for more authentic Indian food.

We live about 30 minutes away and the trip was well worth it. They have a large menu with plenty to pick from. Nice atmosphere, good size portions, choice of spice level was spot on. I had the Soul Tree Shiraz Indian wine which was very good. We will definitely be going back.

Once again this restaurant has excelled in food quality, service and preparation. The staff and chef have been most helpful with adjusting dishes to spice level. The symphony of fresh and aromatic components in each dish makes return visits very rewarding. Prepare yourself for a treasured culinary experience!

Best Indian food ever!! Highly recommend! It is authentic Indian. Great restaurant ambiance too. Super relaxed environment around a forest preserve. Sometimes the staff is a little socially awkward but that doesn’t bother me :)

Took our reservation on the app and drive an hour to get there and when we showed up they said they decided to close early. Biggest waste of time.

Our whole family of 8 has been eating here for several years. We love the food and service. The ambiance is quiet and tables are well spaced.

My wife, son and I came here for dinner on a Thursday evening and each of us would rate it above 5 stars if we could. We live in the area and have infrequently ordered take-out, which has always been excellent. This evening, we decided to dine in and were glad that we did.

We ordered appetizers of Clay Oven Mix Grill and Paneer Tikka. Each item was superb. I have never liked lamb but the preparation in the Clay Oven Mix Grill was so good that I had a second helping. The chicken items were also very good.

My wife and I also ordered Mai Tai's and were very nicely surprised at how flavorful they were. While they were unlike a true Trader Vick's style with the dark rum float, the presentation and taste were very good.

Our main courses were mixtures of Chicken Tikka Masala (mild and spicy) and Chicken Green Masala (spicy). All were excellent and extremely flavorful.

As sides, we ordered Kashmiri Naan and Garlic Naan. The Garlic Naan was very good and the Kashmiri Naan outstanding. The flavors of the latter was unlike anything else I have had and was also a wonderful complement to the sauces in our chicken courses.

For dessert, we each had the Mango Kulfi. I was fully expecting a typical, good mango sorbet but what we received was altogther an infinite step beyond. There were approximately 8 pieces, each looking like a slice of mango and the texture was amazing - smooth and creamy but not like ice cream. The flavor was simply awesome - like eating a mango.

We were also treated to a visit with the chef, twice! He asked about our dinner, where we were from and provided very nice insights into his background and history of his prepartions relative to cities and locals in India.

In conclusion, I cannot recommend this restaurant more highly. I have been fortunate to travel to many cities throughout the world, eaten at some very highly ranked restaurants and rank ClayOven Tandoor with the best of them for flavor, preparation and value.

Lastly, the prices are very reasonable and the meal a wonderful value, expecially in today's economy where prices for groceries and dining out seemingly rise each week.
