Great place to visit.

The wine tastes amazing so amazing that it covers up the fact that this is not a fun and friendly place. Which is super unfortunate because it doesn’t make you want to spend your money there.

If you want to go to a place that teaches you about how wine is made but you can’t talk after or have any outside conversations than this is the place for you. Definitely geared towards an older aged crowd and if you aren’t you will be frowned upon and possibly referred to as “ants” since you’re all over the place. Won’t be returning.

Valentino Vineyards is a wealth of knowledge and old European wine making practices! In addition to a wealth of knowledge, the wine was phenomenal. Looking forward to getting back there and learning from such an experienced, passionate wine maker.

My bonus daughter visited this winery yesterday. The husband and wife were rude, impatient and condescending! The wine was good but the management service overshadows the wine.

After reading some nice reviews and frequently passing this location we gave it a try. Bad Idea!!! $17.50 per person for less then 30 minutes. We were very rushed! We found ourselves slamming down one wine pour in preparation for the next. As we were leaving the male owner seemed disgruntled that we didn’t purchase any wine by saying “enjoy the wine. Oh, you didn’t buy any.” As we were leaving half of the entrance gate was already closed, so maybe they had someplace else to be, but we’ll never be back to ask!

Amazing wine! Can't believe what Rudy is able to achieve in Illinois! Rudy is a craftsman who loves what he does and it shows. These wines are a local treasure.

The Host Vivian was very knowledgeable of their wines and all in all an amazing experience. Great wine and atmosphere. Will be coming back again.

Our group of friends paid for a tour of the vineyard, when we arrived it was drizzling, but it suddenly stopped. We sat in a table, watched a video and listened to the owner (Valentino) tell us a story about his beginnings and how he makes his wine which was fine, and very interesting but it was over 1 hour and half just sitting down, watching a video and listening to him, no tour of anything whatsoever. We did pay extra for the wine tasting. Both the owner and his wife are very knowledgeable and friendly, but we were expecting a real tour of the winery.

Disappointing way of managing group tour bookings.

I was driving by in my semi truck when I noticed the Vineyards After work was done I parked my truck on side of road.I approached Valentino’s Vineyards about 4 years ago the owner was very polite and stopped what he was doing to give me a tour of the winery such a beautiful layout of the location he said I can come back Saturday to taste test some wines and purchase any wine . I Never forgot that day that he went out of his way to stop what he was doing and to open his heat up to a complete stranger that was just passing by. Thank you Mr Rudolf for that gift of my wonderful memory. I will be scheduling another tour with you on my friends birthday 2/2 2024 if you guys are open or if we can schedule a private event with our group of friends God Bless you and your Family

I went there few weeks ago and witnessed a committed perfectionist who indeed puts his love into this land. He inherited the old Italian way to produce the wine from his Italian parents/grandparents. I truly respect his way to use natural pesticides, and that effort does reflects on the quality. The winery tour wasn’t fancy at all compared to other places you can find in this country. However, I love Rudy’s genuine and the way he introduces everything. For me, It’s like a grandpa telling stories to his kids, and this grandpa has all his wisdom to say. I could feel the passion from his calm tone, and this is definitely a fruitful lesson for me.All the tasting is fantastic. Definitely more than worth the visit fee. I also realise the reason why we couldn’t choose the wine to taste is because it is like omakase - this is not a big wine manufacturer, scaling up everything with machines to lower the cost; rather, you would taste the best wines this couple have at the moment you are there, because they pick all the best grapes by their own hands to secure the quality for us.If I have to pick one thing that can be improved, I would say that between different wines tasting, it could be better to provide water or change glasses. This way will avoid the previous flavour remaining, and avoid people from thinking every wine tastes the same. I did drink water in between, and that’s how I knew every single bottle is distinguishable and absolutely amazing.Really appreciate Rudy and Vivian providing such a great and warm tour.

We visited the winery 2 weeks ago to have the wine tour. The owner was super friendly and humor, he walked us through the wine yard, sharing his experience growing the grapes, taking care of the land and how he made the wine in the cellar. We also see ripen grapes on the tree! The winery is well-organized, I can see how much love and efforts that the owner put into it. The tour came with a tasting, we tasted 5 different wines, the quality of the wines are pretty amazing! I would highly recommend visiting the winery if you are looking for some good wines!
