This was my first time eating Indian food and was nervous but excited to try something new. When we walk into the house of Indian we were welcome and seated so fast. Felt so welcoming. The service was excellent waiter was every friendly and attentive. The food presentation was amazing 👏. But what made everything perfect was how the food tasted everything was perfect. 5 out of 5.

Absolutely awesome. I haven't had good Indian food in close to 2 years since I moved from Arkansas. Found my go-to Indian restaurant. Food was tasty, and the portions were massive. Great service and friendly staff. Highly recommend. A+

Amazing food! This was our first time here, but definitely will not be our last. The menu looks pricey, but you get so much food that 2 people can split or have plenty of leftovers for future meals. The family that owns it is super friendly and I love you can see them making your food..

House of India’s food is an egregious letdown, utterly failing to justify its cost or claims of authenticity. This undercooked, flavorless dough slab, paired with a miserably bland potato filling lacking any spice or depth, is a disservice to Indian cuisine. The establishment’s assertion of authenticity is wholly deceptive, making this a regrettable waste. I urge patrons to seek better options and steer clear of this profound culinary failure.

Worst aloo ka paratha i have ever had.. i have ordered them over call and still had to wait for 10 minutes..How can someone ruin the simplest aloo paratha Indian recipe while they are running a restaurant named House of India.. Disappointed

had the pleasure of eating here on my off day. man i tell you i’ve been to a lot of places like this around the country and this by far was the best. i was tooken care of by a gentleman named “amit”, and let me tell you I was tooken care off. from the moment i called to book my reservation to the moment i sat down, this young man took care of me. great food, from the appetizers to the meat selection everything was great.
would recommend for a date a night, the portions are large and the food is priced fairly. 10/10 will definitely be back.

First time here, and will NOT be the last! Our server was so patient as we went from a party of four, then five, then six as we were seated. She graciously allowed us to split up our checks. I worked in the restaurant industry for 20 years, so I know that can be frustrating.
The food was hot, fresh and delicious! Portion sizes were beyond generous. I had chicken byriani and garlic naan. Ordered mild and it was the perfect amount of heat so as to not overpower the spices. My husband got the chicken tikka masala with medium heat, and that was also perfect! I’ll probably dream about the naan for the next week. Tender with a perfect chew and nice char. Excited about the leftovers that will easily give us another complete meal!

This is a wonderful gem in Rockford that I highly recommend. As a long-time customer, I've seen this business grow and change over the years, enhancing its taste, menu options, and overall ambience. The recent renovations have truly transformed the space, creating a fresh and inviting atmosphere. The service here is consistently fast and friendly, which really adds to the experience. The food is incredibly authentic, making you feel as if you've traveled to India without leaving town. I encourage you to visit and enjoy some delightful homely Indian cuisine!
