I love everything about this place. I've only had a little bit of Serbian food in my life, but Dukat really opened my eyes to how wonderful it is.
The food is warm, comforting, and just mind bogglingly delicious.

Authentic and Delicious!
Dukat is a cozy little spot with amazing Balkan food! Everything tastes homemade â the Äevapi, sarma, and fresh bread were outstanding. The staff is friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere feels just like home. A true hidden gem!

This place truly impressed me! The food was absolutely deliciousâfresh and flavorful. And guys, they have real French friesâthey make them from scratch, not frozen! The atmosphere was cozy, and the service was top-notch. The staff was professional, friendly, and made sure everything was perfect. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great dining experience!
Perfect in every way....
I always drive by this location, but it wasn't until yesterday that I realized it was a restaurant. Came today with my boyfriend; I ordered the stuffed peppers, and he ordered the meatballs and it was DELICIOUS. It really felt like I was eating a homecooked meal, the woman who served us was very sweet. This was our first time trying Bulkan food, and I'm glad we got to experience it here!!

I recently visited Dukat, and it was a delightful experience. The atmosphere was cozy, with traditional Balkan music setting the mood. The menu offered a variety of authentic Balkan dishes, all prepared with care. The staff was friendly and welcoming, adding to the overall charm of the place. If you're looking for a taste of Balkan cuisine, I highly recommend Dukat!

Burek with cheese is to throw up.
Burek with cheese is a catastrophe. Brown cheese, greasy, good to skip.
Restaurantji Recommends
Food is expensive for a store front place that isnât a restaurant. they charge $22.50 per plate and all the prices are the same on all of the food. they donât have prices advertised so they probably just take advantage of people coming in. and most of the food was frozen/defrosted so it came cold/luke warm. overall the food was ok, but too salty. based on prices and experience, would not recommend.

We got meat burek with very delicious yogurt. Then got a platter of ÄevapÄiÄi with ajvar, kajmak, lepinje, and fries - it was top notch (we ordered more Äevapi, since they were so good). Loved the cabbage salad and hot and mild pickled peppers as well. Excellent cake and coffee to finish off a delicious meal. Between the two of us, we were stuffed. The food was so, so good! Thanks for the hospitality and the home cooked food. I will come again next time I am in Chicago.
