Best sammiches in town. This is a Macomb must-try, on the same level as Larry A's. The sandwiches are unique in a way that you want a local sandwich shop to be, but without being wild or obnoxious. The ingrediants are all excellent and high quality, the same it's been for decades. Simply excellent.
Regarding some reviewss here, Ray is a nice dude. He's straightforward in trying to get it right. He'll admit he's a little gruff when he's busy, but it's never personal and adds to the charm and personality of the place. I know country folk expect constant politeness, fake or real, but I enjoy Ray's real-ness. He just cares about the food.

I have wanted to try this place for a couple years and it didn't disappoint. The sandwiches were delicious. The warm cookies were freshly baked. The gentleman was so friendly. We will be back.
