“There's food, and then there's FOOD. If you are a foodie and want some great FOOD, this is a place to visit. I have thoroughly enjoyed everything I have ever eaten at Sun Singer. French onion soup - excellent. Lobster rolls - delish. Salads - OH, MY! The Spinach and Bleu is my favorite (the maple vinaigrette is MEMORABLE), but the Chicken and Cranberry and Thai Chicken give it some stuff competition. The chicken salad is light and unique with the addition of apples, and Grilled Cheese Supreme stole my heart with the addition of fig jam. I certainly had never considered how it would elevate this simple sandwich. The antipasti is also delicious as are the truffle fries. While the "regular" food is incredible, the desserts are spectacular. You won't find "purchased wholesale and thawed" desserts here. Oh, no. Their desserts are an experience. The Basque Cheesecake is one of the best desserts I have ever eaten (and I am the kinda person who remembers a chocolate silk pie that I ate at The Black Swan in Collinsville, IL, in the 1980s). Rich, yet delicate and cloud-like, it is served with a house-made chocolate-Cointreau sauce that is the stuff of which dreams are made. The tiramisu is delicate and lush. The bread pudding is anything but boring. Before I die, I hope to try them all. Add to that the great service, option to dine out or in, comfortable seating, and great selection of drinks, Sun Singer is an experience to enjoy. They also sell a wide variety of wine and spirits, and their staff knows their stuff. I highly recommend this gem of a restaurant, and I hope to someday try their weekend brunch - which I have been told is amazing.“
