Best pizza in the Malta/DeKalb/Sycamore area! I highly recommend THE GODFATHER, their Italian Beef pizza.

Went today and this place is worth the visit! We drove about an hour to get here and it did not disappoint. The place is beyond nostalgic, great food and prices and the owner is such a nice dude! Highly recommend will be back!

Took 20 minutes to have a waitress take our order. Only 2 other tables being served. Pizza mediocre at best. Toppings were sparse. Did enjoy looking at the decor though.

The pizza was great! Hot and fresh. The family fun atmosphere is a place I hope to bring family to when they visit, especially the kids!

One of the best tasting gluten free crust around. Went on the Wednesday night before thanksgiving. Service was slow I'm sure because of lots of carry out business and the large groups inside. Lots of memorabilia on the inside. Bring quarters for the video arcade if it's busy to entertain the kids.

We have been here before and the food and service were good. However. Friday afternoon we brought my elderly aunt and uncle. Service was slow. Two tables seated 10-15 minutes after us got their pizza before we did. The garlic knots had about a half inch of grease in the bottom of the basket. We were told the refrigerator was broke, so their beer was warm. Unfortunately they won't be back. We will just assume it was a bad night and try again sometime.

So my sister and her husband who just got back from deployment after 3 years came to visit. I decided to take them here and that was a mistake. We’ve been a few times and enjoyed the place but not this time. My sister has a gluten allergy due to a surgery. If she eats gluten she can be hospitalized. Well we get in and wait for 30 minutes (which was fine it was busy) once we get seated we wait a bit due to the busyness and finally order. We ordered three pizzas. Since the menu states gluten free my sister ordered a gluten free pizza. After we get the food she ate two slices and then realized the chicken on it was breaded. So we asked and was told that was gluten. So she stops eating and looks upset. We asked how this wasn’t gluten free if it isn’t actually gluten free. They said it was only the crust which that wasn’t how it’s stated on the menu. The waitress gets another waitress and that waitress starts being rude and says she doesn’t have time for this. I explained to her that this is a problem as there’s a chance my sister may have to go to the hospital. Instead of apologizing or showing any remorse starts blaming my sister for ordering it. I stopped her and said your customer service is very lacking. They then kept repeating the crust was only gluten free. I get a menu and read through it and don’t see it listed that way. So now I want to speak to the owner since they said I could talk to them. They come back and say he’s busy in the kitchen and I said I don’t care he needs to come out and address this or I won’t pay. He comes out and then starts berating me on the order and kept repeating gluten crust. I kept showing him it doesn’t show that. Again no apology no remorse no care. They all just kept making it our fault. Very unprofessional. He said are you going to pay? (Which apparently that’s all they care about) I said no, not with this treatment. So they called the cops. We waited for the cops because we are not thieves. When the cops came they shared their side of the story saying I ate all the pizza and was refusing to get a free meal which wasn’t the case when 3/4th of the food was still on the table. We explained our side and eventually agreed to pay for two of three pizzas (not the apparent gluten free pizza). I payed, no tip (wasn’t going to with the horrible service) and left. I found out also which I should have pressed charges was that the owners brother was outside and told one officer he had to cool off because he was going to beat me up and put me in a pretzel hold (which would have been great to see). So all in all if you or someone you know has a gluten allergy I don’t recommend you go here as they don’t care about your well-being and just your money. If only he would have been professional and we talked this out the situation would have been more positive and we may have come back. But we won’t which I’m sure if he reads this he’s probably happy about that.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free.

This place has some cool decore. A replica of the ghostbusters Ecto 1 out front and a lot of vintage toys, posters, and other inside. But the true theme for this restaurant is waiting... we waited a long time to get seated, we waited for the wait staff to come to our table, we waited a long time for the food, we had to go to the front desk and ask for boxes and the bill because we didn't want to wait anymore. We saw several other customers through money on the table for their drinks and walk because they didn't want to wait. Others left before even ordering drinks, and people left before getting seated... I am a patient person and understand staffing issues in this day and age but after all the leavers we were 1 of only 3 tables and we still did our fair share of waiting... when we finally got our food it wasn't that great. We had a spinach with garlic pizza hand-tossed crust. The sauce was ultra sweet too sweet for the rest of the ingredients to blend with. Not a good experience will not be returning.

The atmosphere is crazy but the pizza was subpar. Pizza was very bland, no seasoning whatsoever. I’ll stick with a frozen pizza over this.

It absolutely pains me to leave a bad review here. I came when they first opened and everyone was delightful. Plus the place is awesome like a museum of nostalgia. I came in tonight with a group of 8 including 3 elderly individuals. In front the girl rudely stated we should have made reservations. Really at a local pizza place? You need reservations to eat pizza? Umm Ok then fair enough I guess…so we can wait.. a different woman finally seated us in the back at 3 different tables and then disappeared. We decided to scoot the tables together so we could sit together. Which we did for about 20 minutes or so before the same woman who brought us back there came back in and started screaming about how the tables can’t be moved and how it’s a city ordinance… yeah that makes sense the city cares about tables being placed together so families can actually sit near each other. More like it didn’t fit how they wanted it too look at that particular time. As I said it’s more of a museum than a pizza parlor. Anyways back to story she then stormed back out and disappeared once again. Could she have taken drink orders at that time? Sure could have… did she? Nope…We put the tables back how they were and sat down only to wait another 20 minutes with nobody in sight to take any kind of order. At that point we just left. It’s unfortunate that they can’t get it together. They won the best pizza in Dekalb county became more popular and didn’t hire any extra help. They just aren’t equipped for any kind of dinner rush with the seemingly 3 employees they had working. I get that they are stressed out but the way they treated our group was completely outrageous. It’s like bro you’re a waitress chill out or quit definitely not worth being horrible to 4 generations of a family. Also as a side note if you came to play some arcade games most of them are broken in some way or another so don’t waste your quarters.
