Agave Azul Mexican Restaurant

First visit: 9/13/2024 Let’s just go by saying the food here is good. But let me start by this, I came here with my family on a Friday night. My boyfriend and son, asked if they could sit at a table closer by the entrance.. No, the mean lady stuck them in a corner. So we sat in the corner. I had to use the bathroom, it is shared in a hallway with Emmy’s. After we had received our menus, an older woman, as our server came by to see what we wanted to drink. We ordered our drinks. We waited for ten minutes before our drinks came.. our drinks came and she disappeared. She didn’t even ask if we were ready. Then another ten to fifteen minutes came by, someone else, a young Hispanic guy came to take our food order. After he left our server came back. Told her someone else took our food instead, but we wanted to order more drinks. While we were waiting, it took an hour to receive our food… and other drinks. The mother and daughter that sat next to us, already had their drinks and food and already finished their meals.. we were sitting here, forgotten. So after an hour of sitting in the corner, we were not happy campers. We did receive more chips and salsa… on the house.. our food was good, but not as great as it should be. They did mess up on my burrito bowl and gave me the brownest avocados on top. The whole time of being here was over two hours to try to enjoy a family dinner. Not something we wanted to enjoy.

Came here on 9/21/2024 in the evening with my boyfriend. We sat at the bar to order drinks and take our food to go home. The white older woman that made our drinks was grumpy and in a crappy mood. We ordered our food and to-go. The young Hispanic guy brought us our check. They over charged us on cheese that was supposed to be included in the taco dinner. My boyfriend saw the Hispanic guy bringing us our food that was from the front and asked the Hispanic guy why he didn’t tell us our food was ready??? The Hispanic guy put our food on the bar and told us to hold on. He took our check to take the drinks off of it because again, we have waited such a long time for our food AGAIN! The grumpy old woman told us they had new owners. So that’s why y’all can’t do your jobs the right way?!? The only way we know how to do things the right way, my boyfriend used to work in the restaurant field for some years. He was shocked on how we were treated, how they brought out of food in a horrible manner and how the employees acted. I think last night is our last night here. Your service here sucks big time!!!

No góod very bean

I ordered a burrito and asked for chicken and beef in it forgot the beef than brand me out a tiny bowl of beef chicken was not even hot burrito was cold and wife ordered three tacos that barely had anything on it for 13$ I will not be eating here again

This is our go to spot for Mexican in town. Really good soup and basically can’t go wrong with anything on the menu.

On recommendation of our hairdresser, Sheila, we three stopped for Mexican food after our haircuts. Not the typical Mexican food menu, we were pleasantly surprised at the quality and our server Kathy was great! I say surprised only because it's a little non descript strip mall kind of place that doesn't stand out, word of mouth is what brought us there. We will definitely be going back. Try it out, people!

Delicious Authentic Mexican Food

I have tried and tried and tried again. The place is cute, the people are so nice with great energy, but the food is just not good. Under the old owners, it was not good (how can you make queso fundido taste inedible?). With the new owners, it was okay the first time (quesadiilas). But then the next time, we got burritos and discovered shredded cheddar cheese inside. It tasted good until hitting the spot with yellow cheese and my husband and I looked at eachother like "whoa, that just ruined this". It was so out of place but melted through so it was just yuck.I finally gave it another chance and ordered the enchiladas that people seem to really like on here in reviews. I love enchiladas and get them all the time at other places. But mannnnn... it was covered in some El Preferida canned enchilda sauce (that's all I smelled opening the container) and it didn't seem to be baked with cheese on top or anything. Super saucy, plain tortilla and plain chicken inside. I looked at it like "is this for real?". Rice and beans were fine. No hot sauce or carrots offered or included which isn't standard. Also, everywhere else, enchilada dinners included a little lettuce, maybe a tomato or avocado slice. None of that. I should've taken a picture. Honestly, it was the nail to shut this coffin closed for me. I'm bummed. I love the lady in front. She is sweet and the place is cute. Food is just awful ?

Dined here for the 1st time today. Good menu with normal prices. Our meals were really really good. Service was good also. Will go back. Nice to have good places to eat in town.
