Reason for 2 stars and not one. Service and food were good from the start…, BUTTTTTT it turned around at the end. I was a paying loyal customer, coming in usually once every week to play pool and order food. Today I went in with my usual routine, and I started to play music. No one had a problem with it. People enjoyed. Then a mother father and 11 y/o boy came in. The mother complained about the music I was playing. (Yes it was explicit). The bartender turned off my music that I paid for and also had about 5 more songs left to play. My thing is this is a bar at night time. NOT A CHUCKE CHESSE. Yes it’s a restaurant too but don’t expect family friendly in a bar. It would’ve been more appreciated if the bartender didn’t have attitude behind his tone or if the mother would’ve came up to me personally and ask for a switch in music. Also the bar/restaurant has an option to keep explicit music going. So if it’s an option, why is it a problem.

Fun little spot. They had a live band planning some country music. Nice new lighted dance floor.
I didn't try the food, but it looked good.

Great place to go. Sat down with my family to listen to Marty's band play. Food was great, if not a bit expensive and it was pretty cold in the back part of the building. Besides that, awesome place!

I had my son’s first birthday party and baptism in the back room. This place is GREAT! The food is amazing, the service is wonderful, and it is very cost effective. The staff accommodated all of our needs. The back room is very spacious! We had about 70 people for the birthday party and it did not feel like we were crammed in there. HIGHLY RECOMMEND if you’re looking for good food and drinks or for your next party.

Food is always great when we dine in. We like the back room. Very open area with big tables. Waitress service can be a bit slower but they're always friendly

Parking: Depending on day&time parking can be difficult. Plus side there's street parking, lot across street, also free lot down alley behind business

Kid-friendliness: Always family friendly

I had the pleasure of going to Copelands to Watch MNF (Ravens-Chargers). Copelands sits in the middle of the new downtown Manteno IL, a town that at Christmas time is right out of a hallmark movie. You enter brick street under a lighted Manteno sign arch and a short up the road is Copelands which sits directly across from the downtown park. Parking is easy. You walk in an Copelands is one of those bars that’s longer and deeper than it’s wide, which works fine as the bar is perfectly aligned lengthwise. There are a couple of rooms off the side of the main bar area for private groups. The decor is comfortable and pleasant with almost a loft style feel with a brick wall with an industrial chic sense; the bar top itself has gear designs set into it. The bartender my night was Jodi, she is sweet and cute and guys will need to be careful as most will fall in love with her by nights end. Like the bar she is a gem and deserves to be as well known as the Martin Twins were during Chicago Bears training camp in Bourbonnais years ago. I ordered a simple dish, fish and chips, and it was ready faster than I expected and was very good. The fish was simply seasoned as were the fries and was excellent. Overall the bar has a great atmosphere and the music is not too loud so you can talk and socialize. With good food and great service, it is a fantastic place to seek out for a visit. I recommend it with a five star opinion!

Overall it's a decent restaurant. I enjoy the location and set up of the place. The service was nice enough and everyone was kind and helpful. I think the worst part was the food, that is not saying it was bad, but it just could have been better. I had the Marty and unfortunately the carne asada was a little dry and bland, much like eating unseasoned ground beef, just in steak form. The sauce and guac was very nice though and definitely held the sandwich together. Overall it's a decent spot and would recommend stopping in, if you are in town.
