Darla's Deli & Cafe of Manteno

Cute little place for lunch on our way back from Sunshine Nursery. A Deli as I like them, build your sandwich a piece at a time. For me, pastrami, marble rye, spice mustard & provolone (really debated the cheese). Only ordered a half which was plenty for me. Wife had by the tuna melt and was very pleased. If you like a good sandwich place & live in the area, how can you pass this one up?:

Amazing fresh to order subs... Boars head meats and cheese s are my favorite.

The food and dinning in is great. Don't judge from outside. Food is made fresh. I enjoy the turkey with avocado! 🙂

Visited here for a work related meeting, was a great environment to relax and talk. Afterwards I got a chicken bacon ranch panini and it was DELICIOUS. I will definitely be back for another and to try the other delicious sounding menu items.

UPDATE: depending on who serves you the portions and order accuracy varies, today I ordered and got half the amount of meat I usually get when day shift prepared theres a heavy set younger girl that works late I had to ask for the potato salad I already paid for and I got NO PICKLE next time I see her NEVERMIND look at the pictures and compare portions....This is the freshest deli meat that you can get anywhere who is Jimmy John?what is Subway? what is Potbelly's?... when you got DARLA'S?!! THEY PILED THE MEAT SKY HIGH! AND IT'S THE FRESHEST AVAILABLE IN ANY SANDWICH MAKING ESTABLISHMENT THAT I HAVE ENCOUNTERED... It's a little dark, it's a little quaint, but the quality of the food will make you faint delicious!!! The best place to eat in Manteno thus far. And the prices... You still got enough change for cookies and milk -

The sub bread is way to think and soft taste like a sandwich on a large soft hotdog bun … who wants a sandwich sub on a soft large soggy hotdog bun . No thanks 1st and last time . Cashier was sweet sandwich maker no social skill basically just threw the bag over to us .

First time customer today! The atmosphere was super cute and the girl working the counter was fast and super friendly. I found it alarming that she was working alone but she absolutely killed it. Sandwiches were fantastic. We will definitely be back.
