Came in and waited like 15 min for anybody to even ask if we needed anything and the place was dead. And also what are they a bar or restaurant. They need to pick one

Reason for 2 stars and not one. Service and food were good from the start…, BUTTTTTT it turned around at the end. I was a paying loyal customer, coming in usually once every week to play pool and order food. Today I went in with my usual routine, and I started to play music. No one had a problem with it. People enjoyed. Then a mother father and 11 y/o boy came in. The mother complained about the music I was playing. (Yes it was explicit). The bartender turned off my music that I paid for and also had about 5 more songs left to play. My thing is this is a bar at night time. NOT A CHUCKE CHESSE. Yes it’s a restaurant too but don’t expect family friendly in a bar. It would’ve been more appreciated if the bartender didn’t have attitude behind his tone or if the mother would’ve came up to me personally and ask for a switch in music. Also the bar/restaurant has an option to keep explicit music going. So if it’s an option, why is it a problem.

Bartenders at friendly. A great place to play darts or play a game of pool. No food at this location. But there's a nice little Mexican restaurant right next door.

I had the pleasure of going to Copelands to Watch MNF (Ravens-Chargers). Copelands sits in the middle of the new downtown Manteno IL, a town that at Christmas time is right out of a hallmark movie. You enter brick street under a lighted Manteno sign arch and a short up the road is Copelands which sits directly across from the downtown park. Parking is easy. You walk in an Copelands is one of those bars that’s longer and deeper than it’s wide, which works fine as the bar is perfectly aligned lengthwise. There are a couple of rooms off the side of the main bar area for private groups. The decor is comfortable and pleasant with almost a loft style feel with a brick wall with an industrial chic sense; the bar top itself has gear designs set into it. The bartender my night was Jodi, she is sweet and cute and guys will need to be careful as most will fall in love with her by nights end. Like the bar she is a gem and deserves to be as well known as the Martin Twins were during Chicago Bears training camp in Bourbonnais years ago. I ordered a simple dish, fish and chips, and it was ready faster than I expected and was very good. The fish was simply seasoned as were the fries and was excellent. Overall the bar has a great atmosphere and the music is not too loud so you can talk and socialize. With good food and great service, it is a fantastic place to seek out for a visit. I recommend it with a five star opinion!

Their food ! Delicious pizza- best in Manteno! Love the atmosphere and the menu !! Came here on a Monday evening to celebrate my birthday- our waitress (name started with a B!) was so personable. We had a great time with great drinks and food!

First off, there is some confusion here, there are 2 Copelands. One is on main Street in Manteno which has a kitchen and still serves food (part of it formerly Anthonys) the one specific to this address is off of RT 50 Next to the oil change place. With that said, Rt 50 North use to be a great place to patronize. I even worked there years ago and have filled in a few times in the past couple years when they were hard up to get someone to cover a shift. It has always been my go to neighborhood bar. There have been some minimal changes there since the original owner. What I personally have noticed is the bar has not been kept up on like it use to be. The bathrooms use to be the cleanest around which they are no longer. There have been multiple times we (my husband and I) met up with another couple there and they were out of Bacardi. What bar runs out of bacardi????? On those occasions, we finished our 1 beer and left to go somewhere that had bacardi for the person in our group that drinks it. Are you F'n serious??? Again what bar runs out of Bacardi??? They have also very recently made some changes in bartending staff that pissed off a lot of people, including myself. Needless to say we (includes about 10 of us) will no longer patronize this establishment.

It appears they put some acoustic tiles in the room, but it was impossibly loud. On top of being loud, the music was very loud. The bartender was good but not a place I would recommend.

The atmosphere is cozy, the food very delicious and the hospitality and customer service is impeccable! The owner, Josh, takes the time to speak with his patrons and makes them feel welcomed and at home. I have only met one of his manager's, Brittany, her customer service skills are incredible, she has a great personality and her smile is warm and inviting. I highly recommend Copeland's Bar and Grill, you will not be disappointed!!
