My wife and I had reservations at Ellwood Steak and Fish House for Valentines day that I book a week in advance. 2 days before Valentines day they canceled my reservations and said there was nothing they could do (which seemed to have happen to a lot of people that day). I called Sorrento's and explained what happened and they were able to fit us in for Valentines day the day before Valentines. On top of the great customer service we received, the food and drinks were both great, the atmosphere was very nice and they had plenty of staff that were right on top of any guests needs. We will definitely go back to Sorrento's as well as recommend them to anyone looking for a nice night out.

It was ok. Service was slow. My main issue was I started off by stating I had a sesame allergy (I saw in online pics that it was on the table bread) They assured me it was only the table bread and nothing was cross contaminated. Great. order the french onion soup and when it came thank goodness I stirred it first because it was sesame bread in it. By the time the waitress came back around we had been there over an hour. the salad was basic lettuce with a carrot shred and dressing. The filet was well cooked but under seasoned. the mushrooms looked like they came from a can. The potatoes were salty and I like salt. The whole meal took about 2 hours for the 2 of us. for $150 meal I would not go back

Service was great. Food was edible, but nothing to rave about. Inside needs a facelift.

We held our wedding reception here and Kevin and Anita where the best hosts anyone could ask for. They went above and beyond with all of our requests and their own ideas of things we hadn’t thought of. Food was excellent, service was perfect, atmosphere comfortable and pleasing and the staff amazing. One of their staff even brought a cake platter from her home cause she thought it would look great, and it did. Thank you for a perfect and stress free event.

A Masterclass in How NOT to Treat Customers

If you value your time, your belongings, and basic respect—avoid this place.

After dinner, I handed my credit card to the waitress. Minutes later, she returned saying, “There’s no card in the check-holder.” Translation: We lost your card. When I asked her to check the bus tubs, garbage, and kitchen, her response? “I’ll get to it, but I have other tables.” Stunning.

The manager was even worse. His repeated lines of “We’ll call you if we find it” and “Don’t worry about it” were beyond dismissive. I spent 10 minutes crawling under strangers’ tables with a flashlight, searching the kitchen and under refrigerators—while my waitress prepped salads for other guests. Zero urgency. Zero accountability.

Then came the insult: The manager asked me to pay another way. I agreed, expecting at least a token discount for the chaos. Instead, he charged my NEW card for the FULL amount and smugly said, “I doubt you’ll be tipping, so have a good night.” That arrogance pushed me to leave a full tip—just to spite him.
When I said I’d write a review, his response? “I don’t care, we’ve been here 50 years, it won’t hurt us.” That tells you everything about their attitude toward customers.

This wasn’t a minor mistake—it was a complete failure of responsibility and basic decency. If you think customer care matters, take your business elsewhere
