Pointer’s Saloon allowed me to host a Celebration of Life type event. They accommodated between 20-30 people on a Saturday night in their dining area which later lead us to the bar area. The owner personally came and greeted me and gave his condolences. The staff was absolutely amazing, attentive, friendly and fast! They had food made ON TIME & kept up with our add ons. It made for a wonderful night on a sad occasion. I highly recommend them whether for a late night beverage or a gathering such as ours. Also, the communication between the owner directly was impressive as well as the friendly ladies that originally took me call to get me in touch with the owner as well as the servers that called prior to our arrival to make sure they had everything arranged for my liking! I can’t say enough about this whole encounter preparing for & enjoying our evening, it was great!

Great place for amazing well put together food. The amazing bartender owner was very entertaining, energetic. And told each and every person coming into this establishment the specials of the day and upcoming events. Great atmosphere and im definitely a big fan of this place now.

Standard bar food, but worth noting there is an entire half of the restaurant that is family friendly as from the outside it appeared it was nothing more than a bar. $60 for 2 entries, 1 app and a kid's meal (no drinks).

Be careful what you wish for. The bartender was disgruntled about not being busy enuf. When the busy came she fell flat on her face. If the owner hadn't been there, she would've sunk. If you want it busy, make sure you can handle it. People notice, beer/wine glasses notice, bellys notice. She also turned the jukebox music down below what their music plays when people started playing music. People pay attention to details.

New Owner won’t accept gift cards that clearly state it is for pointers that was revived at Christmas time. The name and look of the entire restaurant stays the same but won’t honor the gift cards. We ordered $54 of food and not only was the card not honored but the food was not even prepared right we didn’t even eat most of it shrimp was soggy, burger undercooked, and steak sandwich over cooked Disappointing and frustrating to say the least. We will not be going back to this place ever.

Delicious burger on special for $10. This burger was requested to be cooked medium rare, and it was cooked just that way! Most places, it comes out medium to medium well! Friendly place, good food!

Been here since opening. Always loved atmosphere, but now in 2024 of November, menu changed. My preteen grandboys were excited to come for their spaghetti and bbq ribs which they have had previously, but menu was a bit short, with none of each mentioned. Took 1 hour for our food to come out and did not seem to be that busy. It was a Tuesday, not maybe best day to visit since right after weekend. Ran out of croutons for my grandboys salad, so a bit disappointing. Heard place in Woodstock, Red Mill Inn is basically subccumbing to same way. Niko is doing something nice for families, but hoping he gets back to providing good menu options to his patrons.
Excellent burgers and fish fry! We were very impressed with everything in a great atmosphere!! The fish was crunchy on the outside and flaky on the inside, and the burger was juicy and cooked to perfection!! The fries are the only thing I would possibly change, maybe some fresh-cut style ones and a slightly larger portion. But only a suggestion. Even the cole slaw was some of the best I've had! My fish dinner also came with soup and I chose the clam chowder which was amazing as well!! The pizza looks awesome which we'll have to come back for. Our first time here was a great experience, thanks!!
Parking: We were able to park on the street fine, but if full close to restaurant, you'd just have to walk a little way.
