My first time writing a restaurant review. My wife and I arrived at 6:15 pm on Saturday. The restaurant was pretty much empty. I took a table outside and my wife went in to order.When we got our food I took one bite of my sandwich and asked her what she had ordered for me. She said a chicken salad croissant. After looking at our receipt we saw we got a roast chicken sandwich. Not what we had ordered. We bought it to the servers attention and she returned several minutes later and said the manager said that if we wanted the sandwich we had ordered we would have to pay for it. Rather than make a scene we paid for a second $10 sandwich. After all this my wife was eating her salad and removed a 1 inch sharp hard piece of plastic from her mouth. No, we did not tell the manager. We just got up and left. Very doubtful we will return anytime soon.

It's clear to see from recent reviews people are not happy with this location. I used to love this location but I doubt I'll be going back. The sandwiches are skimpy. If I wanted to eat just bread with 2 thin lunch meat slices I'd spend $2 at Walmart. With all the restaurants around, you're better off going somewhere else these days. Hopefully this places gets it's act together, but I don't think I'll be returning anytime soon. If I'm spending 40 dollars, I expect to enjoy it.

Had multiple bad experiences here months apart. Most recently they gave us half a sandwich, and the manager came out to argue that they put the right amount of meat on it, they just messed up the bread and cheese to be half of what it is and offered no apologies or compensation even after admitting to that. Just make the drive to the one in Carbondale or go somewhere else.

Unfortunately, over the last 6 months, this establishment has gone down hill... Not sure if they can't keep good staff, but there is often no one to take your order at the front (until you look in the back as they continue their personal conversations) and the food quality has dropped exponentially! Used to be a few times a week we would go, can honestly say I doubt we'll go back.

5 people behind the counter and the only register open was a new employee who didn't know the register or the menu. The other three were wiping and filling with a line to the door.
Food was good as always, but I ordered baked chips and got original. Both my husband and I said yes to pickles but I didn't get mine. Disappointed for the price we paid.

It's McAlister's. It was clean and the food was good. What set this one apart was the staff. They were very friendly, all smiles, prompt with the food and seemed to care. Can some of their staff transfer to Carbondale McAlister's to show them how it's done????

My daughter and I had lunch there Thursday Jul 11 and I ordered a chef salad, no tomatoes, because I am allergic. I get sores in my mouth from the acidity. I found two small pieces of tomato while eating it, but I always watch because restaurants will have salads made up & just pick them off. When putting what I didn’t eat into a to-go box, there was a lot of juice from tomatoes in the bottom of the plate, so much so that I did not take the leftovers with me. I was going to say something to the manager, but he was working one of the registers and they were busy. Two days later and my mouth is killing me. It’s important to remember that when a person asks for something to be left off, maybe they’re not just being picky, and the item should be made fresh. I won’t be going back for a while…..
