This is a long time Marion Restaurant located north of town off Highway 37. I have eaten there dozens of times over the years. The food is always good. I like the BBQ, fish sandwiches, and wings. Atmosphere can best be described as casual. If you're looking for a good meal you won't be disappointed. It opens at 11am. They don't serve breakfast.

A Decent Bite with Room for Service Improvement

Triple-E Barbecue North 37 in Marion, IL offers a reliably good meal in a familiar setting. The plentiful parking and easy in-and-out access are definite pluses, making it a convenient stop. Inside, the classic BBQ-style decor remains, feeling comfortable and well-established. The seating, primarily four-tops, is decent and can easily be expanded to accommodate larger groups. Daily specials provide good variety, and the pricing is comparable to other similar establishments.

On our recent visit, the food was, as expected, good. Nothing to write home about, but solid and satisfying. We opted for the fish plate special: two fried fillets, a generous helping of fries, slaw, a thick slice of bread, and a single hush puppy. Drinks were included, and onion and tartar sauce were available upon request. The food arrived hot and fresh, a definite positive.

Where things fell a bit short was the service. While we were seated quickly and our initial drink and food orders were taken and delivered promptly, the server seemed to lose focus later in the meal. Drink refills were neglected, even after an empty glass was strategically placed in view. One server did eventually refill my drink, but then walked away without addressing the other person's empty glass. Furthermore, no bill was left at the table, requiring us to seek out the counter to pay. It seemed the staff's attention was more on their own conversations than on their tables.

Despite the service hiccups on this particular visit, We will return. Our past experiences at Triple-E Barbecue North 37 have generally featured better service. The good, hot, and fresh food, combined with reasonable prices and convenient location, makes it worth another visit in hopes that the service returns to its usual attentive standard.

We love going on Thursday nights for the half-price appetizers and have always enjoyed the food. Very disappointed in this recent visit. They messed up our order, and gave us the wrong items. Not only were the wrong items given the chips that came with our food were stale. We also asked for certain items on the side and they were not separated and some were not even included in our order.
Very depressed, because I look forward to eating here every time I'm in town.

We just picked up six pulled pork sandwiches yesterday - $2.99 each/+ tax = $20.19 - and they were delicious - and huge!! We bought them on our way to a concert and figured for $2.99 that they would be just a small sandwich to munch on before the show... We barely were able to finish 1 each!! We got sauce and chow on the side to go with them, but honestly we didn't need it - the pulled pork was tender and had just the right flavor. We were very happy with our decision to grab these sandwiches and will probably do it again next week - especially for that price! We saved the other 4 and heated a couple up for dinner tonight with some baked beans and potato salad and will have the other 2 later this week!! ? Very delicious, great price, highly recommend!!
