I had a generally great experience here. The service was excellent; our waiter was attentive and made sure we were well looked after. The food was fresh, and the eel sushi—which I tried for the first time—was absolutely delicious. My drink was also notably strong and well-made.
However, the lamb skewers were a bit of a letdown. They were overcooked, lacked the advertised spice, and arrived without the dipping sauce. While the staff offered alternatives, I was disappointed I couldn't try the specific sauce listed on the menu.
A few heads-up for future guests: there is a mandatory 18% service gratuity, even for parties of one. This might explain why the dining room was quiet despite a busy stream of takeout orders. Additionally, the men’s restroom was in poor condition and definitely needs a remodel. It’s a shame to see management and maintenance issues overshadow such a talented kitchen staff.

This place definitely needs some remodeling but this whole in the wall of a place has some of the best food in town definitely the best Chinese food in town. If you eat here you will not be disappointed

The tips are included on the bill ahead of time...so IMHO the servers don't care about refilling your water or anything because they're already getting your tip.

Everything was very borderline. It felt rushed but wasn't disrespectful. The salmon was over cooked but it had a nice skin crunch without being too dry. The food was cooked on extremely high heat. Nothing marinated in the butter it kinda just burned as soon as it touched the black top. On another note the sushi IS ALWAYS a hit and the drinks aren't weak by far.

*Updated Review 2025 scroll down* This place has the best Asian cuisine on the south side. Not only am I a regular takeout customer but I love their Hibachi dinner. I've gone to Hamada's and I'm never going back. A.Fusion not only gives you plenty of food but it's delicious and reasonably priced. The smoothies are also good and so is the sushi. *Editing 9/2025* After being a long time patron of the restaurant, during a recent visit I ordered seafood (salmon and scallops) in a room full of people eating steak and chicken. When I finished my meal I got so sick I couldn't even get up and walk to the bathroom. I vomited everywhere including all over my clothes. When I explained to the manager that I got sick and didn't want to pay for my meal but would happily pay for the rest of my party she started to gaslight me and insinuate that I could've been high or drunk and they didn't know what made me sick. I pointed out that I was the only person in the hibachi room to order seafood, hadn't eaten anything since the day prior and didn't feel sick in the slightest when I was seated. After arguing back and forth about not paying for a meal that I vomited back onto the table I told her that my guest would be paying for their meal separately and that I wouldn't be paying. They threatened to call the police on me and I left my personal information and went home. I haven't returned since!!! Horrible terrible way to treat a longtime customer of almost a decade after they've consistently supported you and was just food poisoned in your establishment.

You’ve just lost yourself a valuable regular customer. I will never give you another penny. I am very disappointed in the managers response to my concerns about my food. I will be taking the food I had issues with back for a refund and never returning again. I told her that even with my order being in a brown paper bagged and stapled shut I still smelled something a little off even through the bag it’s was my mistake for still taking it home I should have refunded my order right then and there but I ignored my instinct. My egg rolls had discoloration and no carrots and something black on it not sure if it’s mold and it smelled extremely bad tasted seriously not at all fresh. I eat their Chinese food very often and for many yrs so I can tell when it’s not fresh. My almond cookies are extremely hard and the manager had excuses and treated me as if I was lying. So for proof that your nasty food really was bad I’ll bring it right back to you for a refund so u can see and smell it for yourself. I work hard for my money I don’t want it to be wasted I didn’t appreciate that.

Every time I come here there's a problem. I ordered my food today with extra sauce and I got less sauce than I normally got. The people in the front were weird like they knew my order was wrong. Me and my job give A fusion a lot of business. Food is never that good. This time i got no sauce and barely any chicken and everything was just thrown together and messy!
