Truely a great family owned restaurant with home cooked food. I had the jerk lamb chop dinner after work. It was so good I went back and ordered the same for the rest of the family.

I ordered Smothered Chicken Wings and received some other type of meat smothered and it was VERY salty. I was so disappointed and threw it away. I hate I spent my money.

The service here is horrible for Uber Eats pickups. There is no one at the front counter at all to help a customer and there has been nobody here for 5 minutes and counting. Apparently they do not care enough to help the people who walk in the door.

I really wanted to love this place after seeing a review from a popular TikToker, HOWEVER, the smothered chicken was terrible! Also, smothered chicken is not supposed to be fried! The sides were okay. Please, please fix that salt content! The reviews are definitely not lying! The man at the front was extremely nice though! We love nice people. Much success going forward!

The man behind the counter that took my order was very nice. I have no complaints about him. The food is my issue. The chicken Alfredo was horrible. The noodles were dry. The sauce was a bit too thick and extremely salty with a nasty aftertaste . The chicken was dry also. The dish was over seasoned. The fried green tomatoes were just ok but something was missing not to mention they all fell apart. I was excited to try the food there but am extremely disappointed. Almost $50 wasted. I really should have checked the reviews first.

I came to order around 11:30am but didn’t realize they didn’t open until 12pm so I sat and waited and saw a worker going in so asked will they be opening soon he said yes and was very kind in assisting me. They got my order in before they were even supposed to open. Not only was the customer service great but because we came so early & it took a little longer than usual the cashier gave me my meals for free! I will definitely be back the food was delicious as well.

My son and I love, love, love this place ... I have damn near had everything one this menu except lamb chops but my son had them ... amazing ... like everything is amazing and I'm very funny with food ... the owners are very nice ... like super nice ... the food and I mean you can't go wrong with nothing on the menu and they got Kool Aid ? ... great portion sizes for the money ... golden gem ? I promise

I got the catfish dinner w greens n cajun rice, it was delicious. My daughter got the 4 wing dinner w mac n cheese n fries. Also a hit. Lets not talk about the jerk alfredo. Good n spicy.We cam after church, we ate then passed out. Will def be back. I need a good soul food place in my life!!! The only thing I didn't care for was all the foot traffic. The cajun rice had giardiniera which is different but overall decent food
Ordered online. Went to pick up, the guy at the register discussed cornbread and the size and cost to only let me down and say there is none. Food was not ready because “gravy had to thicken”. I ordered chicken and shrimp stir fry…it’s like soup! It’s huge pieces of chicken and jumbo shrimp SWIMMING in gravy, jerk sauce, HUGE raw crispy bell peppers, and get this gardinera! No onions, carrots, veggies, they dumped hot oeppers for an Italian beef in the stir fry soup!!! This is a struggle meal. I paid 27 DOLLARS for soup! And the amount of sodium. My GOD! Co worker ordered smothered chicken…it’s over cooked wings from Sharks dumped in turkey gravy. The pictures don’t lie. You all should be ashamed and need to do better. Money is hard earned and hard to come by. Make suitable and appropriate meals. You all should stick to basic babas type food. Burgers, dogs, chicken, pizza puff, can pop.

I live close to this place, I saw it on the Black Foodies, I was like wow a new restaurant. Last week I decided to check it out, I walked in place my order for chicken wings, mac & cheese and greens, it was a 15-20min wait. The wings were good but very small, mac & cheese was decent and the green had the vinegar and sweet taste which was fine, they didn't have the sweet potatoes cornbread that was disappointing. What I really didn't like while sitting there waiting on my food, was all the people and children going in and out of the kitchen area. One came out eating another was pulling her braid while on her phone, it started looking a little ghetto. Why can't they bring the groceries for the restaurant to the rear or side of the building? I felt why is sooo many people walking back there. This place is VERY small, I know what it looks like behind the black curtain, I've seem 5-6 businesses come and go from this location since 2015 and non lasted more than a year. I want to support this black own business. But all that traffic walking around back there is not a good look in my opinion. If there not Cooking they shouldn't be back there, it's a sanitation issue for me. The lady who took my order was very pleasant and even offered me a drink. I will probably be back and hopefully not see that type of activity with people coming and going from the kitchen area. Sorry for the long post.

Heard a lot of good about the food,so paid a vist ordered the greens that were vinegary and, sweet and salty ( not a good combination)smothered turkey that was dry and over salted and yams that was soupie, Overall I think it would been a better experience if the seasoning was toned down,let's face it everyone has different taste buds. Couldn't eat that food.?
